Topic: Which MC is more important for certain moment at certain location?

the temporary MC at the certain location and certain timeWhat do you think? I assume natal MC should be more important? But for events like Olympics, aren't the time and location of the games more important? IP: Logged |

I see. So the temporary MC is just as important.
I guess I need to learn how to predict my life by transit planets. When Mars is in Aries on 27th June this year, it is on my 10th house of natal chart, and 2nd house of temporary chart based on my location - what does this mean?
IF I change the location in July, will that change too?

You're asking a question that jumps over the boundary between natal and mundane astrology. The answer is that for an individual, your natals are more important and should be the backdrop for viewing transits. No astrological event as transient as the transiting MC is ever as important as your natal MC. For a mundane or global event like the Olympics, a chart for the beginning of that event would apply to it only, not any of the persons there in an individual way -- only as a group. For an electional event or chart, it is my opinion that the theories surrounding these have been over-emphasized by astrologers practicing electional astrology. The natal chart is still foundational; the transits to it -- and understanding them -- are more important than the creation of any kind of separate chart ... unless it is the creation of an entity (like a corporation) that is the collaboration of multiple persons who wish it to outlast their own lifetimes. ------------------

I was using astro.com for transit analysis, then lately I was trying astro-seek, and found they provide a synastry looking chart comparing natal chart with temporary chart (based on location and time), and the transit planet will fall in different house than natal chart, as well as MC ASC are in different position, that brought my curiosity if that is somehow important. quote:
