deleted original question - Revisting this after it dawned on me. Not only are ALL our long time nearby neighbours relocated somewhere. In my lifetime, (moved around a lot as a kid, even young adult) I never resided anywhere this long.IP: Logged |

During the time that Uranus moved across my fourth house cusp - that's when my parents bought the place I've lived in ever since. It wasn't supposed to be that way, I'd been moved around my entire life before that, and we weren't supposed to stay here. Uranus rules my fourth, so of course, when I wanted to move, it didn't happen. We moved in under Uranus retrograde. Chiron was square my IC and MC. Neptune was trine my Moon/Venus/Nodes, and square my Uranus/ascendant. Saturn was conjunct my Dad's Sun, and Neptune was square it. Uranus was sextile my mother's Sun, and Pluto was moving towards a conjunction. IP: Logged |

No -- there's no one planet that stirs up the desire to move or shows up in transits on the date of a move. In my rectification work I've seen it all. I've seen a person have Uranus transit their Asc for two years and not make a move of residence. However, any planet from Jupiter outward transiting the IC can urge changes at home, possibly a move.Any planet can play a part, but you tend to see fire planets or outers in transits to the natal IC/4th. For a really major move of great significance, especially thousands of miles or to another country, you will typically see Jupiter making transits, but with at least one outer planet (to IC/4th). If multiple outer planets transit the natal IC (Uranus, Pluto especially) then Jupiter's involvement may be less. My transiting the IC, I mean any type of major aspect to it: conjunction or parallel, sextile, square, trine, quincunx, opposition or contra-parallel; sometimes minor aspects like sesquisquare, especially if multiple planets (especially slower outers) hit the IC or contents of the 4th with minor aspects. The single factor you're looking for here is the natal IC. At least that's the most specific natal significator for residence/moves. Any planets in the 4th, can also receive transits from any planet from anywhere in the chart. Sometimes that will happen instead of transits to the IC. Transits to natal Moon also can be significant, especially if Moon is near the Asc/DC or IC/MC axis. If you don't see any of those kinds of transits either ... (a) they're in the declinations: sometimes most or all of them are; or (b) your natal Asc & cusps are off far enough that the real transits aren't showing up: tighten up your chart so it is more accurate and they'll be there.

I think Uranus was around the cusp of my 3rd, and my sister's Sun (trine my Dad's Sun), when we moved back over here. When I was small, it had to have crossed my ascendant, since I was born with it conjunct - I was born in England, my parents moved me here at six months, and we moved back overseas a few months before my fourth birthday. My sister got engaged when Uranus crossed her ascendant, and she moved almost 3-1/2 years later, to Canada. It was square her IC and MC when she got engaged. When we moved back over here, Uranus was conjunct her Sun, and my 3rd cusp, and Pluto was square my MC and IC. When my sister moved in with her husband, Jupiter was in her fourth. Saturn in her eighth, Uranus in her first, square my Saturn (it signified a positive change for me). They were supposed to move again, but I don't know if they have. IP: Logged |

For upcoming changes in residence, I use lunar return and look for planets, particularly outer ones, which are located in the 4th. IP: Logged |

I hadn't thought of that. Thank you! IP: Logged | |
