I have it and I’m curious to know your observations, in order to work on managing a detrimental Fall placement.
I would probably end up a 35 year old virgin, if it wasn’t placed in The 1st House. Thank goodness for that, haha!

------------------
Cancer Rising
2nd House Leo Sun
3rd House Leo Mercury
6th House Sagittarius Moon & Pluto
1st House Cancer Venus & Mars
9th House Pisces Jupiter conjunct MC.

Yes its not a good placement. At its worst it represents child molestation or trauma. Im not sure about its best but it would be less messed up with good aspects.

They're oddly hot! I'll never work with one ever again though.

They lie because they don't want to hurt your feelings, but then end up hurting your feelings anyways because they're being dishonest.

Ooh I have been curious about this placement also!

Quick glance - I see that some celebrities with the same Cancer Mars in the 1st house are Richard Gere, Marie Antoinette, RuPaul, Patrick Bruel, Arthur Schopenhauer, and Lord Byron. Definitely not all virgins.

Personal experiences - all of them seem to have this quality of being very sly. It's that indirect approach, the tendency to wait and observe before making a move:

I had a coworker with Cancer Mars. I would not say he was assertive or confrontational at all, but rather gossipy. It took a big push from me (with my moon and Mercury conjunct his NN) for him to quit the job he hated. (His Mars was in his 10th house; my ascendant and SN are also in Cancer.)

I also had a super crush on a guy with his Mars just barely in Cancer. He was very sly and indirect in all his flirtation. He played kind of too-cool-for-school, hard-to-get.

A new coworker of mine has his Mars in Cancer. Very timid and unsure of himself, and finds me intimidating despite being much older than me. I can't imagine him ever actively pursuing what he wants, or even being sure what that is.

And my favorite writer has his Mars in Cancer. LOTS of mother issues in his books, but he also has his moon in Capricorn in the 4th so I think he just had bad luck there. lol

I don't know all these people extremely well, but those are my impressions.

Mars/Saturn in Cancer sounds like some of the above. When he was confident he wouldn't be shot down, he'd make a move. He also once said that he broke up with a woman that he was really in love with, because he was afraid that she would cheat, or leave him for someone else - so he broke things off first. When I first got to know him, it was a few years after that, and he regretted it, but he said there was no way he would be able to reconcile with her.

I have dated a few (long term) and my dad is one. My husband has a progressed Cancer Mars that won’t progress any further.
Naturally I attract them since I have a Cancer stellium 11H. Wouldn’t say I’ve noticed anything particular about them. They can be moody and passive aggressive (not one of them I dated because he had a Leo Sun/Aries Moon..)

They seem to be popular with women and in general.
They can be extremely volatile when angry! It won’t be any “cancer-wish-washy-stuff”, it’ll be a direct hit!

I know 5 so far. One I don't talk to anymore because she doesn't respect my boundaries.

They're pretty nurturing towards me and makes me feel I'm being taken care for like asking how am I or give me some comfort like food, blanket or even asking me about my family. They're pretty initiative about it.

Except for one, he isn't like that.

Yup, I’m just as you described as well! I love being Cancerian, haha. Do you recall how that one guy’s Cancer Mars was aspected, or which house it was placed in?

His Mars is unaspected in the 2nd decan. He doesn't know his birth time but the rulership (Moon) is in Aquarius. I think this somehow plays some role.

Hmm, I didn't know rulership's were used in matters of the 7 personal planets. I thought that was just for The Ascendant Sign and Decan. You learn something new everyday

I have noticed that Cancerian placements can be moody - like Capricorn. In my experience, Cancer will say something, Caps are more likely to go quiet or cold for a while, even if it has nothing to do with you.

first 6 degree of cancer are in Mars terms. so if you have that, mars is not so weak as in other 4 terms

First time I hear of this concept; I don’t think I understand it though.
