Hi all. I’m preggers with my first kid, I’m due om December 19! I was looking at the due date’s chart for fun and it looks like we are going to have a Mars square Pluto baby.

December 22 is when the square is exact at 0’. So Dec 19 it will be applying at 1’ and then after the 22 it will be separating.

I’m honestly not surprised with this aspect because my mom has Mars opp Pluto, my dad had Mars square Pluto and my mom’s dad had Mars sq Pluto. I guess it skipped a generation with me.

In any case, I’m a little worried about the temper! It will be an Aries Mars. It will square Pluto which will be conjunct with both Jupiter and Saturn in a pretty tight conjunction. They’re all right on top of each other.

My dad didn’t have a temper, he was super mellow and down to earth. He was very driven though, and he was a Scorpio Mars. My mom on the other hand has a temper which can go from 0 to 100 when she runs out of patience with someone, she’s an Aqua Mars. And her dad, well he was an alcoholic and he would yell and slam doors when he was drunk. I think he was a Gemini Mars (don’t really remember).

Anyways, I’m wondering what are pros and cons here of a Mars square Pluto? I don’t want to write it off as a doomsday case and say my kid is going to be a rage monster. Will the Jupiter and Saturn help mellow out the Mars-Pluto Somehow? I’m sure there’s other benefits of having this aspect surely?

Hmm ok..
I have this aspect tightly, with my Mars in 0'08 Virgo in the 1st house, square Pluto at 28'51 Scorpio conjunct Jupiter in 0 Sag in the 4th house.
And it's in a t-square with Saturn in Pisces, but wide (6degree), in the 7th house.

So that's kinda similar to your child.

I had a sort of hellish childhood where I had to stand up for myself all the time. The one who was supposed to nurture me ended up my biggest obstacle to overcome.. I think this had to do with the Pluto/Jupiter in the 4th, and just a 4th house Scorpio stellium in general.

But with these aspects, I DID have enough strength to rise above it, and a strong sense of inner truth and not letting myself get pushed around. So that's a positive for sure.

As for temper, I never ever wanted to turn out like the one who made my life miserable.. blaming my problems on innocent people and taking it out on them. I abhorred that. So my temper was only reserved for people who tried to manipulate me, bother me, etc. And even then, it's a 'bring the problem out into the open, solve it, and move on,' type of temper. Or just an 'i'm done with this situation completely and removing it from my life' type of thing. Not violent.

But it's there, and I can't say I wasn't a little volatile and extreme with my defense mechanisms growing up. I was super closed off and if there was any hint of someone trying to impose on me or manipulate me, I would not tolerate it. I don't let anyone talk down to me, but I had to experience it to an extreme extent in order to get strong enough to identify it and deal with it and weed all those types of interactions out of my life. It seemed like I was a target for them until I learned to repel that energy.

Now at 25, my temper tends to be triggered by injustices of the world, all the problems of the world really bother me if I dwell on them and knowing about people getting taken advantage of or abused really makes me angry. I usually don't focus on it and channel it all into music. I know it's a part of life and inevitable of human nature.

I also have an aries moon in the 9th square uranus and neptune... in a yod with pluto and chiron.

A Mars aspect ... it may align with your due date, but that may not align with the chart the child needs. I'd give it little or no thought until you've actually got the birth chart. Less than 3 weeks variation from that due date and the aspect could be gone.

Kinda agree with Kannon on this one. Apparently only 5% of women actually give birth on their due dates. There might be a chance your baby might still have this aspect, but it could be out of orb for them if you're overdue.

I was born a week before my original due date, and four days before the second one they came up with. I don't have much experience with the square, sorry.
