What was your experience when your Progressed Moon was conjunct your MC?

Did anything special happen?

I'm reading online it's supposed to be a time of good luck...

For luck it will depend on the aspects that receive the progressed Moon, for me it is a valuation of what I like socially.
Recognition of women?

The one development I can associate with prog Moon last time being at my MC (Nov. 2008) was a friend suddenly moving from where we lived in TX to here in Portland, OR. I followed to stay with them a couple months later, but it was at first a break in communication and a surprise.

The time prior to that (June 1981) was when my family moved from Austin to Houston, TX. I was quite happy even though I was leaving boyhood friends, because I was going to live in the city of the Astrodome and get to go to Astros baseball games. However, it was more involved than that and I won't go into the rest here.

An over-simplification and a bit misleading. Consider that this aspect doesn't last more than two months (if using a fat 1° orb) and can square the Asc just prior/simultaneously/just after this aspect. Consider also it depends on what other natal factors it may aspect.

Moon at MC indicates one's inner world of subjective needs and feelings being turned to the world at large and to aligning with one's highest aims or wishes. It has little to do with luck and more to do with whether we are receptive to the needed changes to realign ourselves, at least internally. If not prepared to act (or go with the flow), this prog aspect may not seem to coincide with desirable developments.
