Hello fellow practitioners! On astro.com you can set your progressions three ways. Which way do have a preference for and why? - ARMC 1 Naibod / prog.day (default) - ARMC 361°/ prog.day - MC from solar arc I bought Sophia Mason's book on delineation of progressions and on this topic she basically said,
If you use a computer calculated chart, there are various options available for progressing the angles. Experiment with these and find the one that works best for you. This is a matter of personal preference. My ascendant progressed into Pisces... I'm disoriented to say the least and any advice is helpful Links to old threads on this area also welcome.

Howdy Astrodatagirl,You will see that I advocate strongly for the use of the true progression method, also known as the quotidan progression, which is the option 'ARMC 361°/ prog.day' at Astrodienst. For me it is not a matter of personal preference, as I used the Naibod method for many years until it occurred to me it does not progress, but arbitrarily directs the Asc and house cusps. The true/quotidian/361° method matches how the Earth actually turns, which is what determines how the Asc & cusps are defined in the natal chart. There's no reason to part from that when doing progressions. So if you want accurate progressions, that is the method to use. ------------------ Soul Stars Astrology by The Declinations Guy Expert birth chart rectification IP: Logged |
