Yes. I have always had a bit of a darker/gothy side to me me that appreciates that kind of stuff. At one point when I was younger, I thought I might want to go to Mortuary school.

Not for me. I do like old churches, though. We did a church walk, before Christmas 2018, and I loved one gothic church.

I have outer planet stellium H8.

When I was born and growing up, BOTH houses I got to live in, were next to a cemetery.

The first cemetery was very old, historic. VERY nice to walk through {with my libra grandmother} almost every day. When it wasn't winter, nature was abundant. There were very large ponds, with plants and flowers. Very old trees with beautiful branches. Various wealthy families had mausoleums with interesting mosaic-glass windows and wrot-iron decor. Beautiful statues, large decorative bushes. Very nicely mowed and cared for. Benches to sit on. Very Peaceful, and Beautiful. I learned how to 'read' from engraved gravestones. {{creepy, huh?}}

The second cemetery.. my two boy cousins {both Leos} lived on divided property with us on Scorpio grandmother's (Taurus GF} land. Their dad owned a gas station and car dealership. The boys were taught mechanics.
.. We had moved out-of-state, but came back for month-long stays with grandparents, as children.
. .
One day, my cousin got in the old Volkswagen bug. Took it for a ride around the backyard, then into the woods, then over an embankment into the side-back of the cemetery grounds.
This was a usual for him. The cemetery maintenance man would complain to his dad, that he drove the VW around the roads of the cemetery {as a child-driver}.
We SPIED the maintenance guy.
My cousin threw the shift into reverse.
We bumped a young sapling tree by the woods that thickly surrounded, and, belonged to our property.
Saw the hole where we entered and left by.
We were "in pursuit"!!!!!
The maintenance guy in his vehicle...
There we were... speeding through the cemetery with a sapling attached like a flag to the back bumper...
Saw the portal!!!!
Car over the embankment again,
to FREEDOM!!! Back in the backyard.

We weren't as free to walk around that particular cemetery. The guy didn't like kids there? .. Can you really blame him? .. We never did any damage, but there were others who were bad, who came and would topple things.

So.
I do NOT love cemeteries, NOR funeral homes.
I think they are quite sad, much sorrow.
And yet, as someone said--
very beautiful, and calm.

Rest In Peace

I have an 8th house Venus, in Taurus, and yes I do love cemeteries. When I travel I always visit any old cemeteries, ossuaries, catacombs etc. that I come across. I love taking a walk at the local cemetery too. Aesthetically I'm fond of all things haunting, macabre or dark. I own several pieces of vintage memento mori jewelry, and all my outfits tend to have a hint of darkness or death to them. Same with the art I create. I love the contrast between life and death, fecundity and decay...

This is an interesting idea!

I have Venus in the 11th and I absolutely love airports.

11th/Aquarius can be associated with air travel.

I could definitely see Venus in the 8th having an affinity to either birth or death-related places.

Oh, a million reasons. It was more of a fleeting, romanticized thought, than actual ambition. There’s no way I could deal with dead people & grief all day long. I’m way too emotionally sensitive for that.

In a way, I think about how 'artificial' cemeteries are. We try to "contain" the person's body TO the earth-- to the land! ... Cemeteries are for the living to have a place of memory of their loved one.

I recall how horrified I was during the 9-11 Towers Attack in the USA. Bodies were incinerated. People were 'coated' with the dust of bodies. Breathing and swallowing the particles of people dispersed into the air!

Same with the Atomic Bombs in Japan in WWII. Dust-particles of people were dissolved into the air.

Recently in my region, there had been a desert cloud from continent of Africa that floated across the Atlantic Ocean, and its particles dissolved and settled over the geographic land here.

Dust particles from WWII still remain in our earth's atmosphere!!!

We are stardust..
and need to get back to the garden

We are breathing the dust of people..
and really, who regards them?,
unless they be "contained" in the
dirt and gardens of cemeteries.

(music) Woodstock (Joni Mitchell, 1970 live)
[6:13] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cRjQCvfcXn0

In USA.. we have had Covid Deaths.
One American dying every 80 seconds.
One-Thousand-- 1 , 0 0 0 -- DEATHS a DAY.
Bodies being stored in Freezer Trucks outside of hospitals because the morgue is too full!

Do you realize HOW MANY 1,000 is?? a DAY??

Most can relate that when one loved one dies, how terrible the pain of loss can feel. We have NEEDLESS deaths occurring here, each day. The atmosphere is SATURATED with GRIEF!!

So. Like Carole King said in song,
looking at year 2020
it was a VERY good year for the Undertaker!!

Not only COVID deaths,
ADD TO THAT the senseless shootings and GUN violence.

(music) Smackwater Jack (Carole King, live in Montreux 1973)
[3:06] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HU2-5hZEFgQ

COVID will be active among people for years. And in USA, we've got civil unrest, with a faction of folks who for years now have been being "psychologically programmed" -- 'primed and readied'-- to violently ACT OUT on cue -- via a politically-triggered ACTUAL bloody WAR, Death of Americans, on our land, at time of election/inauguration? Senseless!!

If you go into the mortuary business, there might be available employment in that industry now, and in years to come.

*morbid look at Saturn-Pluto reality??*
sheesh!!!!

I'm a librarian. With Gemini 9th Sun, Virgo Moon and Mercury on the MC in Cancer, it feels like it was meant to be. More of a calling than just a job.

I'm watching Tales from the Loop. It's kind of magical, kind of depressing - I suppose that would fit here, too.

I'm cautious with anything associated with death, cemeteries and funeral homes included.

My Cancer parents (Mom and Dad) were very superstitious and they taught me to never go directly home after visiting a funeral home or cemetery.

Instead make a pit stop, stop by Starbucks or a restaurant first then go home.

That way any evil spirts that traveled with you from the cemetery or funeral home are left at Starbucks and won't come home with you.

I also take care not to walk on a buried grave and try to walk around the outlines, just not to **** of the living dead.

I think I've heard that before, but I'd forgotten. My dad usually comes home, right after visiting mum's grave. The cemetery isn't far from here.

Why do you try to avoid them? Nothing bad will happen.

Not really relevant but I have Pluto in the 8H, and a Santero once told me that I should never visit funeral homes or cemeteries unless I have to (to visit family) he told me not to even look in the direction of a funeral procession. They say thats when spirits who are having a hard time crossing over have the opportunity to attach themselves/ follow those who are living! He says most poeple are fine but there are those who are a magnet to spirits / those on the other side.

I like the aesthetics of nicer cemeteries but not the fact that dead people are there. I also like old churches and other ancient sites.

As for cemeteries, I saw nearly every single one, if not every single one in the DMV area. (Venus 11th).

I love to travel but hate the hassle of airports and my stomach often becomes upset on planes themselves. But love exploring new places once all the actual travel is done.
