It's aries. Cusp means what's at the beginning of the house. Even if it's literally the last degree. My 12H cusp is 23 Aries with taurus intercepted and gemini on the cusp of the 1st but Aries still rules my 12H matters, even with 3 signs aspecting it. My taurus sun and venus act out their specific 12H matters in a taurian way, still while dealing with the influence of Aries on its cusp.

So does this automatically mean that this person would be romantically attracted to an Aries Sun? Or could they just be attracted to a woman who has fire in her chart?

It's a bit more complicated than that. A taurus sun would still hold weight if it were in the 5H. The cusp describes how the person goes about the matters of that house so I'd say instead of being romantically attracted to an Aries sun, they may go after who they are attracted to in a more aggressive way, like an aries. Attraction is much deeper than just what they have on the cusp. Look at the whole picture, Aries on the cusp of the 5th says they would most likely make the first move, then look at his venus and aspects to it. Then Mars and so on to get a better picture of their preferences.

I agree with Dons2angelss, there's much more to attraction. Check their Mars, Venus, Moon or Sun, and the seventh house. Fifth and seventh must be read together to get the whole picture. Also, check if this person have stronger Venus or Mars.

My fifth house has Libra cusp - Scorpio intercepted, with Scorpio Pluto. Venus/Neptune on Capricorn DC. Pluto is stronger.
So, I show initial interest with my Venus, get involved with my Pluto, stay for the long-term with my Saturn/Uranus (Aqua Sun in 9th H) in Sagittarius. Strong Scorpio/Pluto energy is mandatory, same as the strong Pluto-Venus/Pluto-anything aspects in synastry or composite. Sagittarius/Capricorn/Pisces/Aquarius energy must be present too. My Mars is in Aries, so I like them fiery.

In practice - one of my more serious partners had Scorpio Sun and Rising, Sagittarius Moon/Mercury/Neptune stellium, and Uranus in aspect with Capricorn Venus. Husband has Libra Pluto/MC conjunction, 8th house Leo Sun as part of stellium that includes Venus and Jupiter. He's very late Sagittarius Rising, so he's 1st house is in Capricorn too. All of his 8th house placements are in aspect with Neptune and Uranus. They are of very similar energy, but the sinastry ruled in my husband's favor.

I don't know if this is the fifth house of someone you are interested in, but if it is, it is important that you see yourself not only in his fifth and seventh house but also his sixth. Treat sixth house as preparatory phase or a bridge from a fling to a serious relationship. If you can see each other through these houses (you want mutuality), that's great, I hope the synastry is good too :)

Thank you for your input I don't know if the synastry is really great lol. But it's funny that you mentioned the 6th house. Because we both have Moon in the 6th house in our chart.

Yes, same house placement helps you relate more. You're actually very compatible. All your placements lead to your strong 8th house Jupiter (Mercury/NN too, but focus is on Jupiter), in Aries. Let's say that's your essence. That's also the type you go for. So I’m not surprised by his chart at all. Scorpio Sun/Venus/Mercury/co-ruled by Mars, Sagittarius AC, Mars in Gemini, Gemini DC, chart heavy on Jupiter, just look at his Moon and it's aspects - this all mirrors your most important placements or energy.

Your Sun is in his 5th, Mars' in conjunction, in his 7th. Nice. His Mercury with your IC, your Pluto on his Venus - ruler of his Moon that just happens to be on your MC.
The Scorpio/Aquarius square is non issue. You have Sun/Moon DW, regardless of orb. Your DC is in Aquarius, he's 11th house Sun in aspect with Uranus and Neptune (this should make your Moon and Venus happy). What else.. his chart ruler is Jupiter in Leo (and you're Leo ASC, Sun in 9th house), in trine with your Jupiter. So far so good:)

But don't you need Saturn aspects for something long term?

It depends on your natals. If you both have strong Saturn, there should be no problem with commitment. Your Jupiter is in charge of your Saturn, and Venus is in charge of his (since Saturn is already in Capricorn, you check the natural ruler of the second house). You can also check the rulers of your MCs, but that's covered already. In my experience, Saturn in synastry has more to do with the timing.
