I don't know my Mom's Ascendant, but I find it quite ridiculous, and absurd, the way she speaks on things that are not of her concern. Could it be her Sagittarius Mercury in a 0'31 degree trine to Jupiter?------------------ Cancer Rising 2nd House Leo Sun 3rd House Leo Mercury 6th House Sagittarius Moon & Pluto 1st House Cancer Venus & Mars 9th House Pisces Jupiter conjunct MC. This is silly. Some people have a filter and/or tact, some people do not, it is not dependent on one placement or aspect or even 2 or 3.(I have Mercury Sag (0'17) in house 10 and find the premise of the topic a little insulting and lacking merit because I think before I talk and use tact as much as possible and won't be labeled by such topics, thanks.) My mother had a Sagittarius Mercury. She had tact, and she could give you a piece of her mind (sometimes tactfully, other times, not so much). She wrote amusing poems about things, and occasionally people, when they annoyed her, or people that she loved, frustrating situations, etc. She could be very opinionated, and ice people out, but she was also the first person to help them out, if they needed it. She was the one to defend people, if they needed it/requested it, only to have those people (including family), stab her in the back, and apologize for her comments. That annoyed me. I watched her put herself out for people, for as long as she was in my life, and hardly anyone did the same in return. IP: Logged |

Depends on which house Mercury in Sag is.My mom has Mercury in Sagittarius in the 8th house, depends with who/when/where she’s with she will be terribly blunt about what she thinks. With my sisters she horribly blunt, but with strangers she measures more her words. My sister has Mercury in Sagittarius in the 3rd house and she’s very blunt as well, but also she tries to say the things as charming as possible (mostly because of her rising in Libra). In general they are very blunt, but I think Mercury in Scorpio can be much more direct with their comments or what they have in their heads. But maybe I’m that’s my perspective, since I have Scorpio/Sag/Pluto/Jupiter in the 3rd house. IP: Logged |

Way to sidestep. If that were true you wouldn't single out a single placement in your "questionn", rather ask "What placement could make someone too blunt?" IP: Logged |

As mentioned many times, Planetary energies are often stronger than Sign. Hence, a person could have Sag Mercury, but if it's in close, major aspect to say Saturn or Pluto, said person might tend towards being quite reticent, especially about personal things, but maybe at other times sharply sarcastic and/or biting in their honesty in other things. But someone with a Sag Mercury in a close trine to Jupiter would tend to be more blunt, direct, and honest than the average. I have Cap Mercury trine 1st/2nd Virgo Jupiter with about a .5 degree separation. And yes, I can be rather direct, honest, open, and blunt at times. More so than one would suspect with Cap Merc. Yet, in other ways, I can be hidden and private. I rarely ever outright lie, but sometimes do omit some truths. Because of the Cap, Libra, Virgo combo in my chart, I probably display more tact and diplomacy than the person you mentioned. Cayce's guidance did link strong Jupiter to tendencies of unusual sincerity/honesty. As to Planetary energies often being stronger than Sign, my spouse's chart is a good example of that. She has a Mercury Mars conjunction in Pisces. It either comes out as something more akin to a Sag Mercury or at other times to a Scorpio Mercury, or sometimes to a combo/blend. She can be very direct, honest and blunt, but she can also be rather sarcastic and cutting. IP: Logged |

i have virgo and libra in my chart but tact can be lost on me when i'm saying whatever comes to mind, i'd say "i try" to not be that way but i can't help it it's just how it is i have a minor mercury- jupiter aspect (inconjunct) too, but i doubt that does a whole lot i rarely lie too i'm generally really honest about everything and rather than hide the truth i tend to say it like it's a joke so no one takes me seriously but really i'm being 100% with them like i've legit said "yeah i'm just going to go out and do a bunch of heroin tonight " to my mother in the past but tone and all that she thought i was joking and in reality i really did go out and do a bunch of heroin that tends to be my way, my ex used to make me practice lies if i needed to tell them for some reason so that they'd come to mind automatically i also have this really bad habit of freezing up when i can't lie and not saying anything my ex and i were living with another couple at one point and the chick was trying on a bikini and she came into the living room and asked how she looked (she was looking at me when she did it though) it was pretty terrible and i just couldn't get a single word out, not a lie not the truth just completely froze thank christ my ex was there because she started talking and took all the focus off of me 🤣 IP: Logged |

My mother hid the way she felt about my sister's husband, for a while. I remember her saying that she would do the same for me - that bothered me, and I told her so. I didn't want her hiding anything, if I was involved with someone that she wasn't sure about, just because I trusted her judgement. She had Moon, Jupiter, Chiron, and Neptune, all conjunct in Libra. People used her as a free therapist, so much that she thought about becoming one professionally. IP: Logged |

I have a Taurus friend who loathes the stereotype of Taurus loving all the food. I didn't fit the stereotype for Aries, until Pluto hit my Sun. With Mars conjunct my Sun, I've actually been calmer. IP: Logged |

I have hard Mercury Jupiter , and I might be more blunt than average Libra. I filter myself and often regret some things what I say, but it still happens. It’s more like edgy sense of humor, and loving ridiculousness what strangers might find shocking. I hate to be rude. It surprises me when people get offended or defensive because I usually express politely even blunt statements. It was somewhat bad when I was teenager. I could be sarcastic and dark. I’d always known for some reasons the less I talk the better lolIP: Logged |

Dumuzi, I don't consider inconjunct to be a minor aspect. I would call it something like a medium-major, or major-medium aspect. The only thing that can "explain" (correlate to) my weird body and the fact that I'm missing an entire lumbar vertebrae genetically (which cuts way down on my torso length), is my chart ruler, the Sun, being in Capricorn (a sign of contraction), and inconjunct (need for adjustment, health connotation) my Leo Asc degree (back/spine and heart). Conversely, my grandfather on my mom's side (and all in all I look more like my mom than father), also had a Leo Rising, but like most Leo Risings, he was the opposite, he had a long back. leo rising ex fwbs of mine had the long torso short legs thing going on i know exactly which build you mean because he was a classic example of itmaybe it's different when it hits the ascendant, or youre right and it's a bigger aspect than i consider it idk i'd need to really spend time thinking about it IP: Logged |

I'm sorry if this was already said, what is her 2nd house? Taurus rules the tongue. Is there a less tactful energy ruling in (H2)or sitting inside or is there an aspect effecting h2?IP: Logged |
