So, the ruler of my descendant is Saturn (Cancer rising), and I have a natal conjunction between Saturn and Venus. I've definitely experienced the "traditional" interpretation of the saturn/venus conjunction- delay in fulfilling partnerships etc. What can one expect with transits then? For example, I often see it quoted that a good time to meet someone is "Jupiter conjunct Desc ruler" or "venus conjunct desc ruler" In my case that would be Saturn which would in someone whose not a Cancer rising's chart would indicate a time period of delay in love? So does this mean the same for me and other cancer risings as well? We can't use the traditional "good times for seeking relationshp" transits? Another example: when my venus return happens, I always have Saturn conjunct Venus as well. Soooo? does this mean I'll never be able to see anything romantically happen during my venus transits? Since Saturn always follows it as well? It gets very confusing looking back on past transits even. Just curious what experienced folks know about this! IP: Logged |

No. Nothing in the natal chart negates transits that frame up windows of opportunity for building partnerships and intimate relationships.Your Venus conjunction with Saturn tells more of the story, which is that this is an area of life in which restraints, patience, learning, and developing real values takes priority over pure desire or going directly to emotional/physical gratification. The usual transits that show windows of opportunity for building relationships also work for you. However, if some part of you is fearful or hesitant (maybe because you subconsciously know you're not ready), then you'll want to see those opportunities a different way. Building contacts and networks of associations based on mutual respect allows for later possibilities. In other words, don't look at those transits as direct opportunities, but indirect ones that may plant a seed for later (without expectations, of course). ------------------ Soul Stars Astrology by The Declinations Guy: Expert birth chart rectification IP: Logged |

That's something that I wanted to know too. When I had Jupiter conjunct DC in 2008, I met the guy with who I spend the next 6-7 years together. Now that it is again conjuncting my DC, nothing happens and everything feels like a bad luck. Is it because of Pluto and Saturn being in Capricorn too? Conjuncting my DC, Juno, North Node? If there are other heavy planets like Saturn or Pluto, how does change Jupiter conjuncting DC? Correct. Jupiter lightens the combo up some, while the combo damps down, and counter balances Jupiter some too. Since it's two to or vs one in a sense, the Saturn Pluto combo dominates overall since they are both testing, challenge, difficult, heavy, etc oriented symbols and cycles. But just imagine if Jupiter wasn't there simultaneously? Whether you see it or not, Jupiter is lightening up things some. And it just might be that part of you is, or will become, more conscious to and/or accepting of the deeper spiritual necessity of such testing cycles for growth purposes. This, in and of itself, is a type of grace and lightening up, even while the storm rages around you. When you understand that storms are not "bad/negative", but are there for a reason and have a purpose, they are not quite as difficult or scary as when you are abjectly scared of them or believe they come only to cause you harm and fear. Or conversely, think of each of them as weights on a side of a balance or teeter totter. You have two weights on one side, vs one weight on the other side. It's going to tip in the direction of the two, similar weights. Or think of mixing/blending color together. Saturn and Pluto are darker, heavier colors, and Jupiter is a faster vibratory and brighter color. There are many ways to analogize or symbolize the relative interaction of balance and blending that takes place when you have two or more symbols involved simultaneously in a strong manner. Yeah, I guess it is better that Jupiter is there too. At least, it gives some luck in relationships right now, even if pluto and saturn makes the things difficult right now. I guess if it was just Pluto and Saturn, things would have been unbearable IP: Logged |
