Has anyone here seen the anime Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood? It's really a wonderful anime that I would recommend to anyone into good characterization. The type of astrology I prefer to use is Western Sidereal (and I also like to look at nakshatras but I still think aspects are more important).
However, I will translate my thoughts on what are likely the signs for the main characters in FMAB.
EDWARD ELRIC: I think sidereal Sagittarius sun fits his philosophical orientations well. He would be a tropical Capricorn Sun then, most likely which fits due to his rather cynical attitude at the beginning of the series. Alongside with sidereal Sagittarius Sun, he would definitely have Mercury conjunct as well. I would make him a tropical Aries moon (sidereal Pisces). For his Ascendant, I will determine that through his house placements but I think it would be best if he has his Sun conj. Mercury in the eighth house of rebirth/life and death. If sidereal Sagittarius/tropical Capricorn is his eighth house, then he can either be a tropical Taurus or Gemini Ascendant. Out of those, I think tropical Gemini Ascendant fits the most, especially looking at the sidereal perspective. I don't have much time left to explain my reasoning as to why I think these are his likely placements but I will shorten it here: If he is a tropical Gemini Ascendant, he likely has his Moon in Aries in his 11th or 10th house. 10th house fits better looking at this online description from i.thehoroscope.co: "This position of the Moon, together with its aspects, can also reveal how a person is either appreciated or criticized by others. What their parents have told natives having Moon in the 10th House greatly impacts them, often making them succeed, no matter how many obstacles they may face.

It’s also possible they had one of their folks being very authoritative or eager to get recognized in society, just like themselves."
