I've been on there rather recently, but it occurred to me that there are many 'ex members' there, as if they decided that there was something wrong with the forum. What's the scoop?IP: Logged |

I’m hardly ever there, but it can be down to drama, or being banned. The mods tend to be stricter over there, from what I remember. People can also delete their own accounts, I think. IP: Logged |

Speaking of forums, I wonder if any here have been to all of the astro forums and concluded that this is the best one. IP: Logged |

Perhaps there can only be the forum that is "best for oneself".

astro.com forum used to be my favorite astro-forum untill a few (6-7) years ago. I loved how it used to have so many kind users who were serious and really good in astrology, they would dig deep. I got so much help in there and I wasn't the only one. I had lots of predictions and I learned a lot from these people who shared so much of their knowledge for free. Wish I knew all their readings and predictions (mines and others') would be deleted, I would have kept screenshots. Too much useful knowledge wasted. Literally just one user is left from all of the amazing users "I knew" back then. Now it mainly feels like a crappy psychology forum with a few users left.. barely keeping it alive while making sure that none of the new users would want to come back 😄. The ones who reply the most tend to be either rude and/or twisting/overanalyzing others' words/intentions and/or their replies aren't related to astrology when the question clearly is. The question doesn't even need to be in the first place.. It's an astrological forum, people searched for it, it's not easy to just radomly stamble on these forums out of nowhere and radomly create an account.. they obvliously want astrological help/explanation. Now I prefer any other astro forum over that one while at the same time none feels as good as what that forum used to be. I sometimes get that feeling in here, especially from a few specific users. Pink.... or purple? {8 years ago here, 'that' was hotly, comically debated! So funny!!} With astro (and here) cliques form-- and 'groups' of those 'unregister' themselves and go to other social media sites. .. Some of those have even created their own new forums, in their own styles. The astro forum a long time ago {when I joined LL} had VERY advanced excellent (and known) "teachers" who answered posts. I felt intimidated because I was a lowly beginner!! {Just me, I'm sensitive, LOL. I don't think they would have minded.} I did notice stark 'meanness' {organized bullying tactics} among some, which is very terrible for the health and safe-environment of the community 'as a whole'. That's when I concentrated more on learning astrology as I went, and contributing content here at LL. In the general social astrology website forums on the internet, LL is NOT known for 'accuracy' in the astrology she presents. That made this site less reliable for 'learning'. What Randall had stressed at our last huge 'split' is that LL is a "social" site FIRST, to have conversations using words of astrology-- and NOT to be for accuracy as an astrology "teaching" site. We are a Mix of Levels here. We Try!!! IP: Logged |

So it seems like an issue of quality going downhill. Advanced astrologers who really knew what they were talking about deciding to go their own ways, and since some years back a wave of passive aggressive pseudos who pretend to be experts. That's unfortunate. IP: Logged |

Several very knowledgeable astrologers appear to still be actively participating on the Astro.com forum. Some may have changed their forum names though. ... And many that were actively posting there some three years ago do seem to have stopped using the site. IP: Logged |

I don’t see cliques, it’s natural for different people to relate to each other. We’re human beings, just typing on the internet, instead of meeting up together offline. There are groups of people who know each other in the readings forums, the relationship forum, GU, etc, who know each other better, and have for years, because that’s their focus. Plutonian, I noticed a lot of that at Astro.com (things like attributing sinister motivations to others, that had no basis in reality). It can happen here, too, but not as often, unless I’m just oblivious. I left, because my mum died, and I just wasn’t that interested in astrology anymore (too many doom and gloom predictions, too, when my anxiety was sky high). *edited. IP: Logged |

I think they’re referring to what their names are replaced with, when their accounts are deleted. Here, you’ll see something “unregistered” as a status, but it won’t be next to their names when a thread is bumped. IP: Logged |

It is indeed an exceptionally good forum for observing Pluto in action. IP: Logged |

You're not oblivious, in other astro forums including LindaLand, it doesn't happen as often and when it does it's more on the normal/healthier side if that makes sense. On astro.com they are in a whole different level, unfortunately everything is deleted really quickly there otherwise I would link a post that made my jaw drop, I'm pretty sure there are many all the time because I never fail to find some even though I visit that forum 1-10 times a year or so (I use astro.com everyday for my charts).

I agree with that, it's only nature though there were a couple of times that I felt it was done intentionally.
