Have Leo Rising, Capricorn Sun, and Libra Moon. You would think that I might care a lot about my image and reputation. I did when a child, but towards my mid 20's, started caring less and less. Now I'm about as sincere, honest, and direct as one can get without being within the ASD (while I'm somewhat over generalizing, I worked for a number years with folks on this spectrum and one of the things I really liked and found refreshing was their directness and honesty as a trend, though I know not every individual is like that, hence why I said I was over generalizing).

I often speak my mind and heart quite plainly EVEN though I know it may make people think judgmentally, less of, or not like/agree with me. Would be a horrible politician.

On top of that, if his Mercury is oppo - the same might be true too -- since the Ruler of his Sun is Mercury.

Another thing to consider is: Is his Merc in TAU? Merc-TAU is infamously stereotyped as "slow[or hard] to anger" - and not Marsianly expressive when anyway (think: simmering - quiet - rage, vs. 'throw plates across the room' fit-type of rage).

If you look at a lot of men energetically, you'll note that a fair percentage of them are somewhat to very stunted, repressed, suppressed in these Centers. Aka "shut down" to different degrees. This is somewhat due to a combo of imbalanced, off culture and the nature of how bodies tend to be wired by gender (very strong Soul energies, or body mutations can override these tendencies--we're just talking averages and generalizing for brevity's sake).

They are not as "intune" with this side of themselves as a trend, hence what you see on the surface isn't always what is going on below the surface. For all you know, deep within his subconscious, is a raging tempest of feeling and emotion, but chances are, even he wouldn't be conscious of that within himself. In a lot of men, it gets shoved down into the unconscious/shadow.

Men are not the only ones who can and do this kind of emotional/feeling repression/suppression, but it is far more common among men than women.

Before having met a female with Scorpio Moon conjunct Pluto, I couldn't quite fully believe that a person, especially a woman, could so hide, and/or repress and suppress so much feeling/emotion wise. Was a real eye opener.
