Lets say in synastry just as an example my sun conjunct his Jupiter, but with the declinations my Sun contra-parallel his Jupiter.. How does this work? How would they both apply?

That tells me that the Virgo/Libra and/or Pisces/Aries areas are involved, to put it in zodiacal terms. There are occasions when this happens because the outer planets like Jupiter that do lots of Rx motion don't remain on the ecliptic path (like Sun, cusps). I'd say with your Sun conjunct his Jupiter but contra-parallel it, there is just some added tension or push-pull that is normally quite productive of keeping a relational dynamic; oppositions and contra-parallels being of an "I-thou" relational dynamic. So while you may seek freedom in different ways, it can be good to experience both. Consider it good synastry as there are no 'bad' aspects between personals and Venus or Jupiter in synastry. They're all pluses. This situation is a good example of why it's important not to approach astrology with conventional thinking that goes into duality/linearity. Allow the figure to be what it is. The contra-parallel does not negate the conjunction. It adds a relational dynamic to it. ------------------ Soul Stars Astrology by The Declinations Guy: Expert birth chart rectification IP: Logged |
