Not sure if this is the right forum section for this or not, if not please move to the appropriate one. Anyways, recently stumbled upon this video and found it interesting. I don't normally think much about celebrities and the like, and I certainly don't think much about this guy, however, watching this video I got some serious "old soul" vibes from him. I suppose I feel a somewhat kinship with him for a couple reasons--we're both Capricorns and if his astro.com chart is relatively accurate, then Jupiter was his strongest Planet at birth. And more so because many years ago, I was watching a movie with a couple friends with him starring and after, my Scorpio Sun and Moon female friend said, "your eyes are like his, you both look like you're looking through others."

Anyways, this is the video I recently watched (not too long): http://youtu.be/kuR5OhK5B_U

Also, some years ago I had watched a movie he had starred in playing a psychic in a Stephen King book adaptation for screen (Hearts in Atlantis), and in the special features section, I was surprised to hear him talk very openly and candidly about having the "second sight" himself. Very odd and refreshing to hear a big name hollywood etc actor being so open and direct about something like that. And it was the way that he spoke about it. It was just very matter of fact and "no big deal".

Anyways, I suppose I see him as a positive example of a Capricorn Sun archetype. Someone trying to realize a marriage between Heaven and Earth. Kind of mystical and imaginative, but in a grounded, practical, and logical kind of way.

I am a fan of Anthony Hopkins thanks to the great film Silence of the Lambs.
I also follow him on FB, and see videos of him hanging out in his home.

I notice his rising sign is Capricorn too.
I enjoyed the interview and seeing that side of him.

I would love any recommendations of other films he has done. Such a great actor and human being!

If you haven't seen the one I referenced earlier--it's pretty good.

I suspect his true ASC is a bit later in Capricorn, cusping Aquarius and somewhat widely conjunct Jupiter. He doesn't have the build or look of an archetypal Capricorn Rising. (Slim, average to short, bony, dark to darkish coloring, etc).

It's possible too that it's actually a bit earlier and widely to moderately conjunct the Sun. He has a Solar (and thus semi Leonine like) like look and build to him. Barrel chested, strong, robust body, light gray blue eyes.

Honestly can't tell at this point, which would fit him better though. Next step would be to look at transits and progressions in relation to major life events.

Loved Hearts in Atlantis and always appreciated Anthony Hopkins' outstanding acting skills and commitment to art. A true stage artist that many of the 'right faces' on the screen now could learn truckloads from. But, Hollywood isn't really about acting, it never really was, it's just more obvious now as the public have adjusted to the junk they are now fed as 'art'.

Solace, The Rite, The fracture, and one that I liked very much is The Dresser. A film about a play during world war 2, or 1, I don't remember, and his acting is really outstanding because he is an exhausted actor who struggles to finish the play.

He is the great actor. I like all Hannibal’s movies with him. I don’t know if somebody else could make this evil character that sympathetic and artsy.
