So, I´ve never looked much into midpoints in synastry but it caught my attention lately. I´m wondering which orb would be effective to use with midpoints, like if my sun/moon midpoint is in 15 Aquarius and someone has his sun in 17 degrees Aquarius does it still count as a conjunction.

Also a guy´s venus/mars midpoint squares my sun within 1 degree orb. How does the square play out is it a good thing to have in synastry? And just in general how important are midpoints in synastry?
