This is a general blank statement...but I want to see where it can goes.

Does anyone with Mars in Sagittarius use driving or any form of transportations to relief stress or as a coping mechanism to help calm one self down?

For me, whenever I get sad, upset and need to blow some steam a nice long drive with music helps a lot. Whether it's me driving or taking the bus or subway. Being in the vehicle and getting lost into music and passing by places helps me calm down. I am not an exercise person, it stress me more. But a drive is something else. I would think this is a 3H thing, but I have no planets in 3H.

If you're like this what do you think in your chart indicate this?

I do this.
I like to go for a drive even by myself and listen to music.
I think it is Mars, but my Mars is in Gemini.

I have Mars in Sagittarius/3rd ... and driving DID do this for me, in the days before my age and traffic congestion in the UK made it a stressful thing to do.

But, even now, I get considerable pleasure/relief from mentally reliving past drives on an empty/open road, with Meatloaf's "Bat out of Hell" album playing at full volume on the radio. ...

... So, whilst I can still see paradise in the dashboard light, two-out-of-three ain't bad.

However ... The House of The Rising Sun and Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood, by the Animals were the songs I played most. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Fy7opKu46c http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bw7RTUEZMyg

A good steam-outlet for Mars in Sagittarius (if he wants to forget about his high ethical principals for a moment) :

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=J-3do6PA8T0

Or actually - after I just watched it again - I guess even with a Sagittarius-Mars, I would find the violent aspect disturbing and going against my principles, so I couldn't enjoy it or become relaxed by releasing some pressure.
How about you Sag-Marses ?

Having a lot of Sag myself (not Mars though), I really love to drive as well, just not for coping or letting off steam (because it's not my Mars),
but just for feeling my connection/unity with the world,
while its eternal time, all its stories of all beings, its space, its life, its beauty and divinity are running through my flying hair and into my lungs,
in the speed of the galaxies moving...

Sorry, couldn't contain myself 😁

Would it be possible to use the following activities as coping-mechanisms with your Mars in Sagittarius ?

I also love flying (have a lot of air), huge ships, skiing, ice-scating/dancing (specially jumps) and ballet.
Would like to do ski-jumping and stick-jumping, always liked horseback riding, love horses.

Graham, may I ask, on which grade in Sagittarius is your Mars ?
Love your songs, always did, make me melancholic partly though...

This is very true for me — driving with music is my favorite way to blow off steam, or zone out and open up to inspiration on a leisurely detour. Horseback riding is actually my favorite form of fast movement— not at all into things like skiing, rollerblading, or kayaking, though bodysurfing is fun. I like to spend a lot of time in more leisurely-paced physical activities, like a long hike or an afternoon working in the garden or building a stone wall. I have Neptune, Jupiter & Mars in the 1st house, Sag-Capricorn cusp.
Oh yeah, I do sometimes have my own daredevil moments while driving, but I’m also an easily alarmed passenger.

I like to do it. Maybe, it’s Mars Uranus. Sometimes, the opposite, when I feel sad, the driving lifts my mood up. I don’t like to be a passenger, but some people insist it’s safer that way.

I have mars in Pisces trine Uranus/ascendant. I don’t drive, but I do need to get away when I’m stressed. When my dad was working in Amish country, I would go with him if I really needed to. A drive to the beach, or a bookstore, or I walk it off.

Babies are soothed by being driven around, aren’t they?

My mom would complain how I cried a lot. The only way to calm me is taking me out for a spin.

I also have Mars parallel Uranus, which makes a great point. I don't think I would catch myself speeding or driving wrecklessly if angry. haha

I see it as a get away, anywhere but here.

Violence isn't for me I think it's the movement of the car getting away and put my focus into the outer world, admiring its beauty and music synchronizing to my appreciation. Getting away from the here.

But if I can fly like the bird I would. I am very clumsy and my coordination is imbalance. I avoid skiing, biking or skating. The next possible thing is kicking scooter.

Aquarius Mars house 10
I've done this when I got into an argument with my fiancé on the way home. I dropped him off and I did a little drive. I did not like it. I was feeling intense. I just wanted to go home, but we were way to upset and heated at each other to be under the same roof at the time. I came back after 10 minutes. I just went to the bedroom and moped until he came in and loved on me.

On the other hand I like long drives when I have new music on my iPhone.

Driving in to see fiancé in the rental car is great since I can hook them up to phone. I always makes sure I treat myself to new music before I go out to see him.
It keeps me very entertained, plus a redbull...it's my own sing out jam session. It's the only time I feel comfortable singing at the top of my lungs!

But last time just on the way to home to the airport after two hours, I lost steam and was droning "I wanna go hhhOOOme...."

But to relieve stress in general? I would rather do yoga, clean home, booze, tea, running, and take a bath.

My sister's husband has Sagittarius Mars. He likes to hit golf balls outside to take the edge off.
I'll have to pry more to really know if he likes to just go on long drives. But he did uber and lyft for a year as a side hustle.
