In both cases, there are these "blended" areas, much like on a color wheel. Just like on a color wheel and with frequency/wavelength of colored light, you don't jump from one color to another, but gradually blend/merge and then phase into another.

As to exact distance that this takes place, I feel fairly comfortable in going with a 7* approaching rule of thumb for most cases and for various reasons.

It gets even a little more complex in some situations though. For example, in my chart, the Sun rules my ASC and thus is considered, in classical terms, my "chart ruler" (doesn't mean it's the strongest/most highlighted planet by default though--that is a misconception, just means that it's a very receptive/sensitive symbol, and anything connected to it gets amplified. This is especially so since it is also the Sun).

Anyways, I have Sun pretty much right on my 6th House cusp (depending on the House system, it is either slightly in the 5th or slightly in the 6th).

But on the other hand, it is conjunct Mercury within 7.5 degrees, and Mercury is more firmly within the 5th House (from most House systems).

How it works out, is that I feel and notice both Mercury and Sun in both the 6th and 5th House areas simultaneously. For the Sun, there is a bit more emphasis on the 6th overall and for Mercury there is a bit more emphasis on the 5th overall. But there is a lot of blending and merging going on. I definitely notice/feel Sun in the 5th as well.

Then look for underlying, supporting patterns, which we can find in this case. For example, both the Signs Leo and Virgo are quite highlighted in my chart simultaneously. These are the Signs that have a loose, archetypal connection to these two Houses.

Then, Saturn rules my 6th House (via Cap cusp), and Jupiter rules my 5th House (via Sag cusp). Perhaps not "coincidentally" then, Saturn primarily rules Capricorn, and it just so happens that Capricorn is my strongest Sign energy by far, and at the same time, Jupiter is perhaps my 1st or 2nd strongest Planetary energy.

Think of one degree either side of the 8th house cusp as being a door between two adjoining rooms (7th + 8th), with you about to leave the 7th to enter the 8th. If you have not learned the lessons of the 7th, it is akin to leaving an unextinguished cigarette still burning in that room. Hence, you cannot (yet) SAFELY enter the 8th house.

And you can determine that by ascertaining how close transit Uranus was to your 7th cusp when you began to feel it's influence in that house.

The ruler of my 10th is Saturn.The stell of Moon/Sun/Merc/Ven/Jup/Sat is transiting my 10th. Some of the planets squaring my Saturn(Sco).

So, you should have been noticing the 8th house influence of transit Uranus when it reached 3 degrees before the cusp. ... But, it will have been influencing you before then - and now you have an opportunity to determine if your sensitivity has increased to (say) 4 degrees.

Yes, my Uranus is leaving the 7th in about two months or so! It definitely did bring the unexpected. My Saturn is in the 4th right now! Should be there for the next year or so!

Ahh yes, Uranus. The genius who knows! It will be conjunct my moon in 8th house in a little while, too. I think I feel the Saturn energy, yes... I am making serious plans about moving. Pluto is also in my 4th house (the current Aquarius stellium is in the 4th), too. Had I not gone back to school I would’ve been gone from this city three years ago! But then, I wouldn’t have met “him”.

I have not heard from him. He was pretty final. But, he’s final in his words, not his heart. That’s just what I feel. Not sure if you saw my reply in the other thread entitled “@MoonMystic” but yes, he definitely feels for me. But he had his heart so hell bent on everything going smoothly that he left no room for imperfection or misunderstanding, and voila, here we are. He said he thought that I only loved him after he left, and I think he’s gone back to that original perception. So my grand gesture and going to see him a few weeks ago, I think when he originally was thrilled and wanted to continue where we left off, has now gone back to the idea that I only felt this strongly because he left, and therefore, that it isn’t “true” love. Oh boy. I want to slap him straight 😂 All that darn suspicious natal Scorpio in his chart (Sun, merc, Mars, Pluto, all in 4th). His tr Saturn is also square his sun, Saturn just crossed the descendant, and Uranus is square ASC right now. I’m just going to go with the flow...if the divine sees it fit to make our paths cross again, I won’t fight it but I will give him space right now and focus on myself and being grateful for this beautiful life! It’s all we can really do, isn’t it?

Neptune has been swinging in and out of my 10th and 11th house for years. It's confusing to know what house to blame Neptune if I do not know where my 11th house begins. (I already forgot! I thinks it's 20 degees or 17 degrees...!) But that has totally been a theme. I need more boundaries with friends do to making my career goals come true! I have been dealing with a friend being overly attached, testing every boundary I establish. While acting like she is totally cool with me paying less attention. For example I tell her I can't talk this weekend and what does she do? Starts texting in a group text I am a part of....Like "good job!", now I really don't want to talk to ya. Anyways it's been in my 11th house for good now. Currently I am not up for anything new socially with people but it seems like a "clean house time" in my group of friends. I'll have to see how the rest of this plays out...I know the 11th house can relate to unpredictability.
