Hello everyone

I know this has nothing to do with Astrology, but I wasn’t sure where to ask the question to the masses, and ensure I’d be posting where I’d receive multiple responses. I’m asking this out of curiosity; to those older than me and obviously more experienced, or who have friends, family, coworkers, & acquaintances, with more life experience. Thank you!

1st House Cancer Venus & Mars
10th House Pisces Jupiter conjunct MC.

Only if you plan on opening your own gym.

I dont know of a gym who will hire you as an employee. You will be a contractor. You will be paid by client. Say you charge $100.00 per hour for your services. They will pay you directly, then you will have to pay the gym say $50.00 per hour to use it to train your client.

Not all clients are long term or dedicated. There will be times when your clients either don't turn up to their appointment or cancel on the day. That means you get paid less.

So not only will you not get paid, as you are pretty much self employed, there are no entitlements. No sick pay, no holiday pay no long service leave. No anything.

And lets not forget your competition.

Also expect a slump in business during winter. Its a quiet time. People hibernate and eat then might join the gym come spring time.

There are times when it will be great and others no so much.

Unless you plan on opening your open gym, having other PT's come and train their clients on your site, you will have tough times. Even if you have your own gym if something like a pandemic or recession hit you will be on struggle street.

For some reason when people are stressed the first thing they do is stop exercising.

I dont mean to sound negative, but its the reality. They dont teach you this stuff when training, you learn it when you're in the industry.

You could become a PT lecturer with an educational institute and then you will get a regular pay. I know of many PT's who have come and gone from the industry maninly due to cash flow.

Aw thank you for responding! I’m still set on becoming a family attorney, I was only asking out of curiosity! Here in Canada, personal trainers are gym employees.

Anything that you are passionate about is worth it if your passions are important to you.

But if you are the more rational type and if money and security are more important to you, then I would go for the attorney job.

To do financially well as a personal trainer, you would have to become like a trainer to the stars or something like that.

Go a step further-- open a Physiotherapy Business. It's like being a gym trainer, but you work with people who need recuperation from physical injuries, accidents, sports injuries, surgery, etc.

Your clients would be of ALL ages.
The Elderly (with insurance) use physio trainers for strength, balance training.

With the Elderly and sports injuries, you could fill up your day appointments, and stay closed in the evening, and support yourself.

Doesn't need to be a large business.
Could take on a couple trainers to work with clientele.
Offer therapeutic massage.

I just noted in your siggy, you are cancer rising, with Venus and Mars on ascendant, so that would make a great combo for a personal trainer.

An Excerice Physiologyist is like a PT. But sometimes PTs only have a few months even weeks training. EPs do 3 years at university. That's when they can take insurance and get employed in a Physiotherapy clinic. I worked in one. The owner makes a killing!

Cancer rising is not a personal trainer ascendant, but you have Venus (beauty) and Mars (action, sport) in the first house or on the ascendant, and these 2 planets can be utilized well to create the appropriate persona and "it" factor that could make you successful, if, and I mean IF working out and being in great shape is your passion.

Plus you have Jupiter on the MC. LOL! pretty much any career you choose to do you will be lucky and succeed!
