The matter 'most' on your mind right now is the health of your Relationship. Unless there was abuse involved, 'separations' are really very painful, especially when 'the Love' is still there, and the couple are having problems relating to each other.
(Have you considered appointments with {a pastor or} relationship counselor yet?)
