I’ve been having recurring dreams of being pregnant/holding a baby/breastfeeding and while I know many such dreams do not correlate to reality but I just wanna know (because an astrologer said I might have a child in the near future) what planetary transits did you have when you got pregnant?Any planets falling in your 5th house or aspecting 5th ruler / 5th cusp? What other transits can indicate pregnancy? IP: Logged |

According to Linda Goodman (Love Signs), you can get pregnant every time the relation between the sun and the moon is the same as in your natal birth chart.IP: Logged |

I don't think so, as it would imply you can only get pregnant once or twice a year. Ayelet probably means for instance, if you have natal sun square moon, then when there is any transit of sun square moon, you can get pregnant. I have never heard of this concept and I think it is fascinating. IP: Logged |

Belage - that's right. I'll elaborate:
I, for instance, have the sun in 27 degrees of Cancer and the moon in 18 degrees of Gemini. So my moon is 39 degrees behind my sun. So: suppose this is October. The sun is, let's say, in 14 degrees of Libra and the moon is in 5 degrees of Virgo. In a time like that it is possible for me to get pregnant, as the relation between the transiting sun and moon in the sky at that moment is identical to the one that exist between my natal sun and moon. And this is the ONLY time in the month when I can get pregnant. IP: Logged |

Oh...interesting! This means it can happen many times, isn't it, since Moon moves so fast? I'm thinking there would be other slower planetary transits supporting this? IP: Logged |

That is a fascinating concept. Your natal moon is 39 degree behind your sun, but in the example you gave, the moon is 39 degrees BEFORE the sun, not behind. Was that an oversight or not?

I don't understand the difference. You substract 39 degrees from the sun. Maybe my terminology was wrong. In both case the moon is 39° before the sun. I meant 'behind' in the sense of 'before' because in my language they have similar or identical meaning at a certain context. (Can you see that the relation between 27° Cancer and 18° Gemini equals the relation between 14° Libra and 5° Virgo?)

I haven't a clue but a few guesses are
- Moon or Jupiter in 5th. Especially if they might cnj there. Maybe Moon tr trine the tr Jupiter 5th. Cancer house trine with tr Jupiter. Like when massive generation births occur, maybe. I never studied that but if there's something reflecting a strong pregnancy period, the baby boomers biryhd were occuring like slot machines in Vegas.

I see what you mean. Behind or before does not matter. As long as there is a 39 degree difference between these two bodies.

You don't need astrology to know it can happen once a month, but you need astrology to know WHEN during that month, as it is not the accustomed way of calculating this. For example, certain women can get pregnant while having their period, something which is wrongly considered impossible, according to Linda.
If you know your astrology and your math, you can CHOOSE when to get pregnant, regardless of any other transit. It means you have CONTROL since you have knowledge.
But without that knowledge, yea, blind fate will lead you by the music of the spheres. Of course, there exist also the possibility of a medical condition that prevents the woman getting pregnant at all.
This is just some bit of knowledge that I have, take it or leave it.

@GemJams:Thanks for sharing your charts!  I noticed tr Moon in fruitful Cancer and it's in your 4th house!
Also tr Uranus sextile your 5th ruler. Was it an unplanned pregnancy? Prog Moon is conjunct your natal 5th ruler and about to conjunct your prog 5th ruler which is at a critical degree. Btw for this chart did you use the default progression or 361°/prog.day? IP: Logged |

That's the thing... I'm not planning to get pregnant (lol) but not using any contraceptives either so accidents can always happen... In the past astrologers from different practices have told me I'd have a child. Recently 2 astrologers said this again + the dreams I'm getting... that's why I'm curious what transits might point to this. I believe Moon plays a part, yes, and thanks for sharing this knowledge. I'm just thinking there would be other signs as well. I read to check the 5th house/Lord, some mentioned the 1st and 4th... so I'm just trying to find out what others experienced. IP: Logged |

It amazes me too! Using this other progressed method, prog Moon opposes your prog 5th ruler so there’s still an aspect, although the opposition seems to suggest a difficult pregnancy. Was it? If not then the other prog chart would seem more accurate to me. 🤔 IP: Logged |

It was difficult,emotionally.It happened a couple of months after we met.He wanted an abortion and I couldn’t do it.He wasn’t around during my pregnancy.
Physically it was fine until I went into labor and had to have an emergency cesarean.IP: Logged |

Maybe astrology shows us the circumstances surrounding the pregnancy but can’t really predict pregnancy.I noticed Chiron conjunct Descendant.It was a difficult time but I matured and learned a lot.
Also the vertex is conjunct his Sun,Venus and Saturn in Pisces.It definitely felt fated.
