Even when I was reading the Sachs study, it seemed like Sag women were at the bottom when it came to the women Leo men married while Sag men married Leo women at high rates.

My own personal life, I have seen it a lot too when I have observed this. It seems like Sagittarius women are out to get Leo men and are their sworn enemies or go out of their way to make them feel small. Some say it has to do with fire vs fire but I disagree, Leo and Aries women LOVE Leo men and tend to get with them quite often. It seems like the oddball here are Sagittarius women and I had a few theories.

1. Low self-esteem?

I find that Sagittarius women do not have the natural self-esteem and confidence that other fire sign women have. As a result, they are more rude to the very men that may exude those traits.

2. Self-righteous complex?

I see it more with Sagittarius women than any of the other fire signs, would a Tom Brady or Barack Obama type of guy make them envious and feel like they are not sticking up for the little guy in some way if they were nice to him?

3. Envy?

I wonder if Sagittarius women envy what Leo men have and the attention women of other signs give them so they in turn become hateful towards them. Maybe it is a way of hating what you can't have.

As soon as I saw this thread I instantly thought of the US Gymnastics team scandal.

Kayla Mahoney (Sagittarius) really was the person that brought Larry Nassar (Leo) to justice.

It has really been brought to my attention. Something that is expected to work, but for some reason doesn't seem to for some weird reason.

I am not very close w/ Sagittarius placements in general while I can be super drawn to them.

Sometimes I think the dark side of being a Sagittarius is being a "know it all" I love socializing with them, but they can come across that way at times.
And maybe just in general it is more difficult for a man to deal with a woman being a "know it all" and not them. I wouldn't be surprised if women are more conditioned to a man being a know it all.

My dad has Sagittarius rising and is married to my Gemini rising mom

My sisters' husband has Sagittarius Mars and she is a Capricorn Mars.

attractiveness is subjective and not dictated by sun sign (appearance is first house mostly for western, vedic. adds moon nakshatra) neither is synastry

how large were these studies? seems their findings weren't 100% the same regardless

when using statistics it helps to know whether or not the sample size was relevant and how it was taken etc

statistics can be misused, manipulated etc

not saying they are just pointing out that 2 studies i have no information on outside of results don't mean a whole lot

sourcing one thing and saying "this is fact" is pretty sloppy citation tbh

that being said:

statistics ultimately don't matter when individual situations are at play, they can't determine anything on an individual level, things are broken down to synastry ultimately which is far more complex than just where someone's sun is

sun sign only astrology isn't even good for natal charts or divination

I never had disdain for Leo men. Opposed with my Sun, Moon and Venus - yet both m/f are a/ok to me! All signs have their pitfalls -
when operating with troubled aspects/transits and/or synastry.

Calling them out on their inner darkness and, god forbid, parts of their materialistic non-spiritual nature, is one of their triggers.

After all, they are the "righteous gurus".

Nevermind that leo/SUN is associated with God. But nooOooOo, sagi/jupiter/Zeus, being better than all the other gods, according to them, doesn't really like any competition...

like others have said, this is very generic theorizing but historically i have yet to meet a leo sun i like. havent figured out exactly what in my chart would show this though.
