I can tell you that mutable rising signs like Pisces, Sagg and Gemini can't stand working 8-4 or 9-5.The same goes for anyone who has lots of planets in those signs. IP: Logged |

lol when I read this post title I was like "whatever it is, I don't have it in my chart." And the reason I was going to give, Belage already stated it - I have a Gemini MC, and a Pisces Mars in a mutuable house. So everything about a 9-5 (or even a long-term work contract) makes me itch. My mother is an extremely successful person, went to trade school at 18 and worked in the same field her whole entire life. I couldn't even do something like that. She's a Gemini Rising, a Pisces MC with her Pisces Sun conjunct it. She managed to be conventionally successful by not working a 9-5 (still haven't figured this out for myself though :P) IP: Logged |

This is interesting because my first thought was Virgo or 6th house placements (which is mutable). Or possible heavy earth - predictability, stability, routine. I have a Scorpio stellium (fixed) with Sun, Merc, Saturn, Pluto in the 6th house, Mars in Capricorn (9th) trine my Taurus AC, and Capricorn MC and I LIVE for 9-5. I love my routine. No weekends for me. Oh no, no way! But are you asking if we like to do the same thing day in/day out? Or if we like our rigid 9-5 hours? My entrepreneur brother in law tried selling me on the book "The 4-Hour Work Week" which he lives by, and I laughed in his face. He has Sun conjunct MC in Pisces. To me, I don't feel like I'm an honest women if I don't put in 7-8 hours a day. IP: Logged |

I am ambitious and I love working on my dreams and building the life I want.If that means/meant (for a time) working 9-5 I would love it. But being there in a 9 to 5 permanently? No. It is simply a means to an end.

Most people who don't work 8 to 4 must be billionaire or at least very rich. I mean so much hard work that means it will pay much for sure. Even though I have to work at night shift once or twice in a week yet I'm very very poor person. I see no use of hard work and staying awake at night if I don't get any gain. Better work in a day, sleep at night and live a simple life of poor person.IP: Logged |

This is so interesting reading this lol I am a Scorpio stellium as well with Sun, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, and Pluto in Scorpio also in the 6H. My moon in Libra is in the 6H as well. My mars is in Sagittarius 7H conjunct Pluto. I love comfort and feeling safe but I HATE doing the same thing day in and say out. I also have a serious problem with staying productive. I'm not lazy and actually have loads of energy though.. the energy just comes in spurts and goes just as quickly as it comes haha (: I notice I work better when I'm in a relationship. Love and romance motivates me. Anything else is extremely depressing. I can't hold a job down for too long, but I am still trying out of a need for survival. I wouldn't mind working a set amount of hours each day if I traveled or did something different on a day to day basis. 8-4 isn't too bad. 9-5 either. When we start getting into schedules like 1-10 and 10-7... nah. That's literally my whole day. It's gut-wrenching waking up in the morning and it's pitch Black just to get off in 8-10 hrs and it still being pitch Black outside.
A perfect schedule would be where I make it day to day and travel somewhere different every day or every few weeks.. months. I need change and new scenery which is confusing because I'm not so "free-spirited" with a partner. IP: Logged |

Yeah, that’s me. Can’t stand mundane 8-5. Can’t stand sitting at a desk the whole day, every day. I’ve a t-square in Sagittarius-Pisces-Gemini with Gemini ASC, Pisces MC. IP: Logged |

I’d prefer to have 5 part-time jobs than one 8-4. Lately, I started to think I might need more structure, stability. Maybe, it’s transit Saturn. Capricorn should like it. IP: Logged |

I am a I can do it if I have a lot of time off kind of person. Gemini Rising Aries Sun house 11 Scorpio moon house 6 Mercury Taurus house 12 Venus Pisces house 10 Aquarius Mars house 10 Jupiter Cancer house 2 Saturn Capricorn house 9 Neptune Capricorn st rx house 8 Uranus Capricorn st rx house 8 I hate the idea of being so tied down to a job. Spending most of your week, day, life, time somewhere. I like having my own money but I also like the concept of doing whatever I want. It took me a long time to settle into full time work. When I realized I loved being a preschool teacher assistant. I wanted to do it full time, but the first place I did it at would not give me full time hours. So I finally went elsewhere to get them...this was the worst work environment I ever experienced, and the next year they gave me over time. It is not WORTH IT at all to me.
After some rough experiences at some jobs...I will never poo-poo someone for choosing to work part time if they can afford it. When I first moved out of my parents I really thought I had to work all the time to survive. After a year I realized I didn't and took the summer off went for more school and found a better job. Some teachers need to work during all their holiday breaks. I use to nanny in the summer. But I notice that when I do, I feel less ready to go back to working at a school. If I had to work on the weekends and such from not being paid enough as a teacher, I think I would go into a different field. I need to have a life and my own time too, and if I can't...what's the point? I once read on a teacher forum on a topic about how people stay in such an underpaid field. One lady said. "Be frugal, and marry well." It's so true. This is my first summer in the longest time where I don't have a summer job, and not in school. My sister did ask me if I wanted to watch her kids two days after my wedding. I thought about it and said no. Husband even backed me up. (He knows what her kids are like LOL) She did ask me to do just one day this month. I said yes, I can deal the other two will be in day care except the youngest. My husband is impressed that I am able to save up on a teacher salary. So I am a 8-3/4ish five days a week with lots of time off. The summer time off is obviously not paid. But there are so many things I wont buy in order to be able to save to not work for a long period of time. If I do need a pick me up once in a while, I can clean for my mom. Treating my self is important though, and treating myself is a very carefully calculated matter. I'm also sort of obsessed with budgeting. IP: Logged |

Virgos...Definitely. Capricorn & Taurus maybe tied for second..Also the corresponding houses..mainly 6th & 2nd. Maybe some heavy Scorpio? Since they are known for commitment & need stability. Idk about the eighth house though. I am a sag/pisces/Gemini heavy soooooo that is out of my realm of understanding. I think I thought I wanted it in my early 20s..or I tried to force myself to since it is the path to happinesss...right?
I think if I was an employer hiring for a 9-5 & saw a candidate with my birthchart (assuming I could read charts in this alternate reality) I would go ahead and toss that application in the garbage.

I tend to view Mars in 4th house as a reference to the country I live in. Mars in 4th house makes more sense when I think about it this way. I've always hated living in the United States, but I can't necessarily explain how or why I grew up hating it. I know I felt like every country on the planet hated the US though. The US is pretty young as a country. It has already been in a lot of wars. With the US' history in mind, Mars in 4th house makes a lot of sense. That is, when expanding the manifestation past my household. It took me a long time to really understand this placement or how I even have Mars in Aries. Unfortunately, Mars in 4th house is basically textbook now, especially with it being in Aries. My sister disturbs the peace a lot with her abuse and explosive anger and it gets to me. I mean, my IC is still in Pisces even with Mars in Aries. I get a lot of internal motivation and energy from my own anger and other negative emotions. It's difficult to explain how this is the case, but I assume it boils down to my Scorpio Ascendant being ruled by Mars. Mars makes a trine to my Ascendant because of its early degree. Pluto in Scorpio makes a conjunction to my Ascendant. While the orb is a bit wide, I consider Mars trine Pluto to be an aspect within orb. The energy basically meets up at my Ascendant and plays out as being empowered by my darker side. Unlike my sister, I've kept my anger and other negative emotions in check. They don't hurt people like she does. Mars in Aries in 4th house definitely indicates that I find more motivation and energy at home. This time, in my actual house, not my country. I'm thankful the internet exists. IP: Logged |

Haha 😄 I guess I was off on this one. Well in ur case. Virgo is mutable so maybe that's why 🤔 every virgo I've met work like crazy though. Maybe they just put up with routine cause of that. Capricorns too are hard workers. Maybe it just depends on alot of things lol, like most things. Just the right combo IP: Logged |

I don't think is so much that people love working from nine to five, it's more that people like having a weekend and going to bed at a reasonable time so they can sleep through the night because it sucks to sleep during the day, quality of sleep is not as good when you sleep during the day. I think 9:00 to 5:00 jobs also tend to come with benefits so people like that. Any schedule that allows you to sleep through the night and that provides needed structure to your week so you can function effectively works, everyone needs a little bit of consistency and structure to function, we all have a 6th house. If your 2nd, 6th or 10th house are ruled by Uranus or their ruler forms a hard aspect with Uranus you probably want flexibility and freedom and autonomy and to do your own thing when it comes to work, that is true, Specially if Uranus falls in a mutable sign. You still need some structure though to be able to function effectively and succeed. Perhaps Capricorn ruling your career houses will make you more of an early riser and if Saturn falls into fixed sign you will enjoy more of a fixed early rising kind of schedule. IP: Logged |

i'll work if i have to, but like i can only handle rigid routine so long before i need change and feel like my soul is getting sucked out i can handle it better if it's fulfilling or feels like there's purpose but even then 🤷♀️

I have a pisces rising, Moon and Venus. As well as a Aquarius sun in the 11th house and a Aquarius mars in the 12th. I'm fine with working a 9-5, maybe it's because I have a lot of Saturn aspects, but I really don't care. Do I actually enjoy it? Not really, but I understand it's just something that some people have do to in life. I have a friend who is a Pisces sun and rising with a Virgo Moon and a Aquarius venus and Leo mars. He really doesn't like the 9-5, he perfers to travel and be more free spirted in life. ------------------ Pisces ascendant Aquarius sun Pisces moon Aquarius mars Pisces Venus 12th house stellium IP: Logged |
