If you do a google-search (or youtube-search) for Relocation Astrology, there will be articles that explain what to look for. There are various 'reasons' people relocate. Some, want a place where they could 'feel at home' -- some want a place that will favor them in their career choice -- some want a place that can attract money. If you have an Astrodienst account
- www.astro.com
they have various charts you can draw up based on your natal data.
I left detailed instructions on 'how to' and the things to look for, in this thread.

Looking at the 2nd link above, --
There are instructions on how to use 'AstroClick Travel' at Astrodienst. That will give you instant general information--
but you'll have to really dig-in to the details later, to get the entire scoop on it. Gives you generalities.
There were members here who have left, who owned 'software' that would generate reports on the various location choices an LL member would give.
. .
You could purchase the software for yourself, enabling you to later help your friends and family-- or even support your own future moves.
PROFESSIONALS
There are professional astrologers who specialize in Relocations. Might cost you around $200~300 or more dollars to get a computer-generated report for ~3 towns you choose.
Advantage of hiring a seasoned pro is 'experience'. They will share what the report says, then ADD seasoned advice and wisdoms they have learned from doing hundreds of charts, and having received 'feedback' from persons served. ..
You SAVE yourself woes, and stress, (and mistakes and money!!), by utilizing a solid seasoned professional who is held in good esteem/reputation by peers (and previous customers) in their field.
VISITING
Have you tried going to that place for a vacation/Visit??
You could go on 'how it feels' when you're there.
. .
CAVEAT---
I did that-- went to an educational-inspirational conference to check out making a move here. I was enthralled by the topic, and made unconscious assumptions that the people (in this interest area) were 'good' (based on my past more-positive experience). I made terrible terrible mistake. *rosy-glasses*
I missed other points of 'doing my research' ON the area of the country I was going to.
. .
I wasn't aware-enough that it was important to have considered ALL my 'broader' needs (away from the 'group interest' I moved here to be a part of, and was SO mistaken about) before spending all my money to move here. Social supports here were not-same as social supports in other geo-areas of country.
. .
I have great intuition for 'some' things, but apparently NOT-so good for what I critically had needed to know BEFORE hand. The relo here stalled the progress in my life, and found self in a terrible trap I have not dug out of (tears).
. .
Get advice from people who KNOW you, too.
Listen-well to what they have to say.
. .
POLITICAL
I would ALSO check out the state of various government leaderships, and citizen turmoil -- Do research ON that city, and compare to your own needs and future interests!...
Includes studying the trends and viewpoints of dominating political powers. Research whether the direction of their current decision-making will support your own needs, once you move there.
(Dig deep for this. Consider the needs of the various generations served-- are their interests being cared for? This will apply to 'you' some day.)
So... Which 'house' to use?
Based on astrology only --
depends on 'where' your natal planets get shifted to, especially along the cardinal angles-- (ASC/Desc, Mc/IC of the reference chart you locate to).
See the 2nd link I left for a more thorough explanation.
