Thoughts?

I've been observing the people who come in and out of my life and their charts for years and this always sticks out like a sore thumb. I did not make the possible connection until recently, but something is definitely shared between Uranus/ Neptune and mental/ emotional disorders.

I'm referring to disorders such as, but not limited to:
NPD
BPD
OCD

Uranus being the planet of unpredictability and eccentricity.. Neptune being the planet of illusions and escapism, I can easily see how having these planets in aspect with a personal planet could cause some sort of imbalance in the brain and/ or personality.

I've mainly seen it manifest with Moon and Mercury (I have these planets in hard aspect to Uranus/ Neptune in my own natal chart and have always thought I was a little "off". Ha).

With moon, the individual might be viewed or perceived as someone with a very troubled emotional state. Speaking from personal experience, having this aspect does creat some sort of internal struggle. I'm constantly battling feeling good vs feeling bad. I loathe the times I feel in-between (BPD?).

With mercury, the individual might be perceived as someone with bizarre and over the top ideas. They might not be in touch with reality (NPD?).

These are just some quick notes from a few of my observations.

I am really curious to see if anyone else has noticed a pattern?

I think you are on to something.I was about to mention that the two must aspect Mars/Moon/Mercury or Sun.

In my case, i have very epic mpod swings. I have learned to not "battle" . But find a stable place. It could be BPD. But the extremes of emotions I get cannot be called "natural".

I have Moon opp Mercury. This puts me in a manic-depressive state of emotional highs and low. This is often exacerbated by stress-either through social functions or work challenges.

Merc (22.52S) is parallel Ura(21.58S)and Nep(22.16S).

They are not diagnosed with anything, but I knew a person that displayed some NPD and BPD like traits and behaviors. It does not come from astrology, but comes from a combo of childhood and past life trauma. They are an older soul, and I think they will heal a lot of those wounds that have a distorting effect on their personality. I sometimes pray that this happens for them, so that they can become truly at peace and joyous.

Anyways, astrologically they have a late Aries sun conjuncting early Taurus Mercury and South Node in the 8th House cusping into the 9th some. Mercury is the chart ruler (and MC ruler).

That is square a late Cap Neptune, early Aqua Uranus conjunction in the 5th. The Sun (ruler of the 12th and Mars) is very closely square Neptune, and Mercury is very, very closely square Uranus. I would say that extremist, bi polar like Uranus is their predominant Planet--a combination of it being so closely square the ruler of Asc/MC, being in its own Sign, and in the fairly amplifying 5th House (next most amplifying area of the chart after the Angles/angular Houses).

They also have late Scorpio Moon conjunct very early Sag Pluto and IC, Mercury is closely inconjunct Pluto, and Pisces Venus conjunct Pisces Saturn in the 7th.

This person is guarded and secretive AF, especially with those that could really affect her on deeper levels. Often projects a false mask and persona in public and tries to make the world see a very happy, content, and/or balanced image when sometimes that is very far from the truth or only a partial truth. This is partly because they are obsessed with their career and want to attract people to their services.

Very high intelligence, and while they have very, very strong and intense emotions/feelings generally, they can also intensely detach and disassociate strongly at times. Also quite psychically sensitive as one might expect with all that Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto combo. This is both a strength and a weakness. A weakness because they can be very influenced by others or outside energies and often unconsciously so.

Lately surrounds herself with slow vibratory people that she "thinks" are fast vibratory, and they bring her energies down to a slower vibratory level. She is capable of very fast vibratory (chart ruler conjunct Sun and Jupiter also quite strong).

My brother has been diagnosed with schizophrenia and he has Moon 15Sag56 conjunct Uranus 13Sag33. My mother has been diagnosed with depression and alcoholism, Moon 25Lib36 conjunct Neptune 21Lib29 and Saturn 21Lib15 also a wide square to Uranus 16Can07.

I have Moon 6Vir25 square Neptune 13Sag16 but it is a rather wide orb. I also have my Mercury 3Gem43 square my Moon and inconjunct Uranus 4Sco33. I can be a bit scatterbrained from time to time, but nothing problematic.

Uranus square Neptune is a generational aspect, correct? As in this aspect lasts for about six years. So, would that mean that the generations born under this aspect would all have the characteristics that you're thinking of? Or would you say that the slower moving planets have less of an effect sort of like how Pluto generations can be fairly generalized.

They were talking about personal planets square Uranus and Neptune--particularly in the context of Moon and/or Mercury squaring Neptune/Uranus.

I have always wondered if there are truly "normal" people out there and what that looks like.

If it's those people who do not get "too involved" in their interpersonal relationships, I don't want to be normal. Haha.

Moon/mars is a biggie from what I experienced recently.

My ex of 3 years had a Moon-mars conjunction in virgo with his Moon sesiquare Uranus/ Neptune. Mercury was also opposite Uranus/ Neptune. Although not officially diagnosed, there is no doubt in my mind that he suffers from NPD.

BPD seems like it would be more based on perspective, from what I've read online. Everybody has emotional highs and lows and with the way the world is today and has been, I can imagine how many of us are struggling to stay sane. The "crazy" ones, in my opinion, are the people who seem to go about life seemingly unbothered and unaffected by all of its cruelty.

Taurus, 8th house placements seem to come up a lot on my end, in natal and synastry/ composite.

I believe Taurus is major when discussing NPD specifically because of its nature. Taurus placements are into the "now" and what's trending.. unless other aspects contradict.

Taurus does likes stability and and a predictable partner.

People suffering from NPD are attention seekers who would most likely keep up the with the latest fashion trends. They would keep the same partner if it was beneficial.

You stating Pluto, Uranus, Neptune being physically sensitive made me think of how I've noticed a lot of the "natural" roles associated with the more "sensitive" signs are out of alignment nowadays.

Cancer men are cheating like never before and pursuing non-domestic lifestyles while Sagittarius and Aquarius men are getting hitched with their childhood sweetheart. I blame the times.

Aren't we in the Aquarian age? Uranus rules Aquarius.

I wouldn't necessarily say we would all have mental/ emotional disorders, but this does bring up an interesting point.

Uranus and Neptune play a major role in my generation (I was born in 1993) and these two planets and their energies seem to be gaining more momentum as time goes on. Nothing is conventional anymore and if it is, it won't last too long in today's society. Topics like mental health and psychology surely cannot be exempt from the equation.

My parents' generation was not big on mental health and most things got swept "under the rug" and never talked about. My generation ain't going for it. We're putting everything on the table and letting it all hang out, literally lol.

Therapy has increased in popularity dramatically over the last several decades which might be connected to the divorce rate. Women aren't staying with their controlling narcissistic husbands like their grandmas did.

I have mercury square uranus and I have a form of sensory processing disorder as well as ADD.
The speed of my thoughts and the fact the jump around does really exhaust me at times.
