There is this idea that apart from the 7th house ruler, there are universal significators of a spouse. For a woman it's Sun (day birth) or Mars (night birth). For a man it's Venus (day birth) or Moon (night birth).

I've just realised that in my case this significator is contradictory to 7th house ruler.

My 7th house ruler is Venus in Capricorn, and my spouse significator is Mars in Aquarius conjunct Mercury. So by 7th house ruler it's supposed to be an older man, but by spouse significator he should be a younger man. Also, my Mars is much more harmonious than Venus. Which of these factors is stronger??
