Because after Uranus messes up, someone needs to step up to clean up the mess, and Saturn does that pretty well.I am kidding. I have no idea. IP: Logged |

It originates from the rulership scheme (lords) Ptolemy set out in the 2nd century AD. He collected previous ideas from the Chaldeans, Egyptians, and earlier Greek traditions. The concept is based on the dualities of each planet as seen below: ------------------

Pretty cool, Kannon.I am curious, Kannon, before Uranus was discovered in 1789, (which incidentally is the same year the French revolution started where they beheaded their royals (Aquarius is the sigh opposite kingly Leo), prior to that, when only Saturn was the ruler of Aquarius, what were the classical interpretations of Aquarius? Or can you direct me to where I can find this information? IP: Logged |

I guess my suggestion is to get a copy of The Arkana Dictionary of Astrology and follow his mentions of authors back to those kinds of sources. I'm not really an astrology history kind of guy.IP: Logged |
