I'm in the middle of Saturn opposing my Sun right now and tbh, it has been a very difficult year for me. It is in my 8th house and I feel like I have lost mostly everything that was important to me. At least, I was left with the most caring person I have in my life. That's the one thing that's been keeping me going and my schooling almost being done. I've been struggling with my mental health so much this year, and for the first time, I was diagnosed recently with BPD. I almost gave up on my life a few months back. I thought Sun/Saturn transits aren't as bad as Moon/Saturn, but it is definitely worse imo. It's like I have been stripped down to nothing but questioning who I am and what do I really want in life. A lot of hard lessons and day by day, I just remind myself this is not going to be forever.

Please tell me your experiences with this transit.

I went through a Sun/Saturn opposition in 2017.It was rough but it did get easier to deal with after a few months.I think I just learned how to not let things affect me as much.I have a wide Sun opposite Saturn in natal so my Saturn return was right after. That wasn’t bad at all.I’m having a harder time with Saturn transiting my 11th house now.

Late 2012, early 2013 was when Saturn transited opposite my Sun. The only thing I can say is that I was definitely applying myself harder to a more in-depth study of birth chart rectification back then with more stringent standards to meet to finely hone my skills.

The transit does challenge how you are using your core energy and how that fits with your identity. These challenging Saturn transits are harder psychologically so long as we are carrying negative or limiting beliefs about ourselves — anything holding us back. It's as if Saturn's transit activates or amplifies those and says, okay is that how you want to be?

The weight of 'shoulds' starts to really be felt if you're carrying those around.

The opposition transit seems to increase the dynamic of expectations of effort to make in the external world (or in comparisons with others). So reject such comparisons and come back to what you are able to do here and now that is constructive.

The transits will sometimes be accompanied with losses, but those are generally things or people either inhibiting your self-expression actively or by depending on them too much.

You can counteract the worse effects of Saturn transits with either herbal energy tonics and/or gems/crystals that give your energy and optimism a lift.

Dear OP, i feel you, 8th house hard transits are some of the most challenging transits one can under go. And when Saturn is there messing with our other planets, it's a whole nother level of cosmic darkness. But this too shall pass.

I might seem overly optimistic when I say this, but Saturn hard transits are either karmic because you did something wrong, and Saturn is trying to teach you to not do it again, so pay attention. Of they are meant to deny us what is not good for us. As with everything with Saturn, remember that Saturn delays, it does not deny our good.

With Hindsight and time, you will see that what you lost was not that great.

I went through this opposition back in college. I was struggling financially and a broken relationship - no one to turn too but I can say it does get better with time (Saturn). For me it was about being patient and the test of my endurance. It helped me knowing as long I keep going, things will turn out better. If alone time is what you need, I would follow that intuition. Hugging a stuff animal helps too or what brings you comfort and remind yourself things will turn out better. I can understand life isn't easy when everything is taken away from you, left you with nothing.

I'm currently going through that with my Pluto transits. You are not alone <3 I want to give you a big hug. xoxoxo much love
you made it this far

When you put up with so much cr@p, there is certain cr@p you cannot tolerate anymore from people like you change. I am less smile and nod if someone is being a total bigot. Since Saturn last squared my Sun.

I actually have this aspect natally. I kind of had a turning point of not having much of a tolerance of people that do less than I do tell me I'm not doing enough. (look out!!)

I didn’t have many friends neither.I get along great with coworkers or people I knew from school years. But I’ve changed so much these past few years,I just don’t have anything in common with them anymore. So it gets lonely sometimes.
I think the Sun/Saturn opposition prepared me for my Saturn return.I had some dark moments but I was able to stay positive through it all.

I reckon I will probably have to strengthen existing ties instead of going after new ones. Emphasis here may be on "quality people".

This weekend kinda gave me a preview of what to expect. Met up with old pals and remembered what loyalties were there. They haven't forgotten me(and that's awesome). Because I haven't forgotten them🙏🏿
