I was wondering if the aspects formed in progressions at young age could impact the life of a person on long term.Like if someone has a difficult aspect happening at young age, let's say 5 years old, could this remain on the psyche on the long term, comparing to an aspect in progressions that could happen in the adult life? Even if that aspect is very wide in natal chart, could that energy be imprinted in the psychology of the person just like it would have been in the natal chart? The aspects in composite or synastry with other people could leave a mark on someone just by interacting with them? It would seem so, especially if it is long term that someone would have been exposed to that energy. Another thing... in traditional astrology the aspects are counted by sign, not by degree. How much can an aspect by sign be felt in the natal chart? Is a Venus at 1 degree and moon at 23 degrees in the same sign be counted as a conjunction? Is the energy being formed with more difficulty, but it is still formed? IP: Logged |

Yes, in a way. Early life culmination of a progressed aspect (within 0°05' for planets) made by slower moving planets fits that situation the most. However, to remove it from the planets-did-it-to-me mindset, understand that it's not the planets of the progressed aspect doing the influencing, but the continuation of the native experiencing their own consciousness pattern from their soul's history and the karma and/or purpose that represents in their environment and relationships. quote:

False. Make sure you are using the term 'traditional' astrology appropriately here. If so, make sure you are studying the original as laid out by William Lilly who clearly defined traditional astrology. He took great care to outline the moiety of orbs for the planetary aspects. He would not have done that if the only thing needed for a conjunction was for two planets to be in the same sign. Aspects are geometry — not signs. Aspects are geometric angles formed by planets against the backdrop of signs and independent of them. Amateurs have conflated the signs' helpful 30-degree division of the zodiac as if it defined aspects simply because it helps them find aspects in charts while learning astrology as novices. So no, Venus at 1° is never in conjunction with Moon at 23° of the same sign — no matter what you've read. There's a lot of people posting stuff online or even setting up entire astrology sites who apparently have never properly studied astrological texts and put their learning to the test. ------------------ The Declinations Guy | Expert Birth Chart Rectification Join me at Health Positive! my newsletter on substack: http://healthpositive.substack.com/ IP: Logged |

You mean the progressed chart aspects formed are going to act out only when things inside the person are already there to be acted upon?Because the moment an opposition happened to my Venus from Pluto was in 2006 and nothing happened then that could have pointed to a situation like that. I know that I shouldn't trust everything that I read online and in time and with everything I have been experiencing regarding aspects or astrology in general, doesn't fit with something that some people write about online. I guess I'm just super scared of Pluto, I've been reading a lot about Pluto in the last 2 months and next year is going to be close to my 7th house cusp and I'm afraid of what could happen then and while it will be in my 7th house. That's the problem, then. Try not to formulate questions out of/around fear. Astrology is not deterministic. It does not force unpleasant or detrimental things upon you. It is an outward summarizing metaphoric language for your internal soul journey. It's about constant learning. Whatever develops you can handle it. Pluto's practical lesson is about personal power. So start thinking in those terms and learning what empowers you — what thoughts, what beliefs, what ways of viewing yourself and life. I am Pluto. My Asc was applying to conjunction with it when I was born. So hear me out. You will never be able to dig yourself out of a hole of fear using the particulars of astrology's language or anticipating what your fear tells you is the 'worst' that could come. Astrology serves no positive purpose applied that way. Taking on a consciousness of love-empowerment from the inside is far more powerful and important than any mountain of astrological knowledge. ------------------ The Declinations Guy | Expert Birth Chart Rectification Join me at Health Positive! my newsletter on substack: http://healthpositive.substack.com/ IP: Logged |
