His Chart (he said it could be off for a few minutes)
* pic edited

As you can see, his rising may be in either Cancer or Gemini, what do you all think?!

For your better reference, he is tall, more than 6'2" or 190 cm.

*As I will take down his chart and his pics later to preserve his privacy, I'd appreciate it if you do not quote on the original post. Thank you

First impression and gut feelings when I saw his pic without reading the rest of your post, I thought Cancer rising, I thought water ascendant.

Then I saw the rest, and also that he is 6'2" and I have to say that cancer rising is not usually that tall... But then I saw he has Jupiter on the ascendant, and that could account for being tall as Jupiter expands what it touches.

ETA: Sorry, I had to keep editing my message over and over.

I thought Cancer too, before reading any of his chart. That's one sign or ASC I reliably pick up on.

And while they typically aren't that tall, I have known several who are.

Wow Stonemoon, you know what I think I am going to trust your judgment because it seems you have a natural talent for guessing ACs.

He himself is very much into astrology and he said he thinks he's a Cancer rising. But I just wanted to make sure and as always I am interested in Lindaland members' opinions

To add a personal note, when I first saw him I thought Virgo (sun in the 6th) or Leo (moon in the 5th)!

The issue is, even if he had late Gemini or early Cancer Rising, with Jupiter close, he would likely be on the taller side.

Gemini Rising with ruler in Cap would indicate more leanness and lankier build, especially in youth, whereas Cancer with ruler with Scorpio would indicate a slower metabolism starting off. Also Gemini can be a rather tall Sign as is, even without Jupiter helping. Hence, a comb of these would likely indicate a height even above same, though Mercury in Capricorn could/would counter balance that a bit.

The problem with these cases for both personality and looks wise, is the strong blending that goes on. 29* Gemini and 0 degrees Cancer for example, do have differences, but they also have similarities i.e. a blending of both in both cases. It's just that in the 29* Gemini, you'll tend to see slightly more Gemini than Cancer all in all, and in the 0* Cancer, you'll see slightly more Cancer all in all.

The Zodiac is MUCH like a color wheel and how the energy shifts and phases from one to another. And just like with the colors as to the Signs. The colors don't just "jump" from one color to another, but they gradually shift/phase from one, to a mix and eventually to the "pure" color (equivalent to especially the exact middle point of a Sign, or more generally to the 10 to 20* portion).

I've seen colors, for example blue greens or green blues, where it is really hard to say , oh, this is definitely predominantly blue or predominantly green. Sometimes cuspers are like that, but usually in case of astrology, the actual Sign on the Asc is the predominant one, even if only by like 1% (think ratios, like 49% vs 51%).

And then to confuse things even more, Planetary energies are far stronger and more concentrated than Sign ones. Hence, whether Gemini or Cancer Rising, he is powerfully and most likely predominantly Jupitarian in the whole chart sense. That is his core, his Soul's strongest attunement both inside and especially outside of a body and its influence.

He might "relate" to the perceived depth of feeling and caring of Cancer just because of Jupiter, rather than actually being a Cancer Asc, because he is not taking into account that Jupiter and Cancer have that more in common than Jupiter and Gemini, and that Jupiter will often "overshadow" either Gemini or Cancer.

(Jupiter is actually more deeply and intensely feeling than most give it credit for. When you mix about 55% Sag to 45% Pisces or so, you get a better understanding of Jupiter's energy "as is". Or think of the color purple--a blend/mix of red and blue. Red indicates the passion, desire, raw energy and blue indicates/represents the introversion, the going within, the more sensitive, the more spiritual and/or higher emotional).

Thank you Galactic, I agree with you on planets having more of an in-your-face influence than signs.
