Hi! I’m wondering what your experiences are with Virgo moon children. I have a little Virgo moon child and I’m beginning to teach him to clean up his play area after he is finished playing. I have read they like structure and order.

Any other guidance to help raise them and feel happy? Additionally, I’m a Pisces moon so I’m very lovey and showy with my emotions. I imagine a Virgo moon wouldn’t be? Not sure how Virgo moon express their feelings!

Virgo moon is shy, sweet and a bit neurotic. They can be prone to anxiousness and extreme social discomfort. It'd be best to not force them into situations they feel uncomfortable (like forced socializing). They show love by being of service, problem solving, helping you. Even cleaning your house for you (when older at least)

Soothing them, calming and reassuring is good because they can tend to worry a lot and angst over many things especially when they're teens and even more in their 20's and 30's.

It also depends on the house that this person 's moon is in. They're also very smart and love to learn and analyze, and tend to be good at health and make excellent doctors or even vets. They Looooove animals so pets can make them very happy.

Structure is good but I think an issue virgo has (I've got virgo in me so I understand this), is they become too dependent on structure to feel safe etc and forget to simply have faith in the universe.

So showing them they can still be okay without structure all the time and that they don't have to control everything can be very good for their overall health in the future.

They also have sensitive nervous systems and their emotions will directly manifest as symptoms in their body, so this person's health is very important, especially regarding how they eat.

That is so sweet and loving of you to inquire. I suspect your son has lovely aspects to his moon in his chart, with a mom (I am assuming you are the mom, not the dad) who is researching astrology to find out how to support his moon.

I would pay close attention to the house where his moon is located, and any aspects made by the other planets to his moon. Is his moon making a conjunction, trine or sextile to his other planets or challenging aspects like square, opposition and some conjunctions? All this information would give clues to his emotional nature and how he needs to be supported.

All the virgo moon men i have met enjoyed being in nature because Virgo is a earth sign, and contrary to stereotypes regarding cleanliness, they didn't mind getting dirty in nature, though they usually kept their homes neat and clean. I think those Virgo moon that are obsessively clean were messed up in childhood by something or someone along the way.

Virgo moon are also very sharp, so make sure your son has toys and games that challenge his mind.

In terms of affection, you can be lovey and showey, it won't hurt. Virgo moon might prefer TANGIBLE signs of love, when you do things for them that show you love them, and when you let them do things for you and compliment them because they need to feel useful. Like all earth signs, Virgo moon tends to preffer actions more than words to give and receive love. Though an occasional I love you said like.you.mean.it is always appreciated by any moon sign, especially one ruled by Mercury.

Remind him that you love him for him, not for what he does, though you greatly appreciate what he does to be useful or any scholastic achievement he has. this is something Virgos have a hard time accepting.

Is his moon opposite yours? Then there will be a need for give and take in your relationship as your thought processes may clash at times. You can learn from each other. Opposition can complement each other. You can teach him to be more in touch with his emotions, and he can teach you to be a little less sappy.

This is all lovely. Thank you so much. I’m a Pisces sun, moon, and Mercury so I don’t understand much about earth moon signs. He is a Sagittarius sun which is in his 12th house. My husband is a Pisces as well, so I am not surprised he inherited the 12th house sun. He is a Capricorn ascendant, and my husband and I have a lot of Saturn in our charts so again not surprising there!

His Virgo moon is in his 8th house- like mine. It is square his sun, Mercury, and neptune.

I know he’s going to be a reader, he has loved books ever since he was a few months old. He’s about to be a year old in a few days and he’s aways going over to his books, he knows how to turn the pages and does so with gusto. I’m teaching him to pick up his toys after he is about to go to bed.

I’m very much a nature lover and I love going on hikes. And I was looking into baby/child carriers to go on hikes with him. I try to tell him positive affirmations every day (my Leo rising at play) and I hope this will encourage him to see the positivity in the world.

I do know a Virgo friend who is a Virgo sun (in the 12th house) and she was completely disorganized. Her car was so messy and she was all over the place (maybe bc of the 12th house sun)? I’m hoping my son won’t end up like that because I am a very neat and tidy person, my husband on the other hand (Pisces sun) is very much the opposite! I’m hoping he doesn’t go to the dark side like his father!

Since you and your husband are both Pisces sun, having lots of Saturn in your chart is VERY GOOD as it can ground you and keep yall from floating out into the Pisces etheric dimension.

Your son being Capricorn rising also contributes to grounding for you two.

Your son having his moon squared by his sun and mercury, and opposed by his Neptune make for a complex moon and psyche. Add to it that it is located in the 8th house and he will not be a typical Virgo moon person. You already understand the moon in the 8th house energy, so that's a plus for you in understanding his chart.

Regarding challenges to his moon, how tight are the squares his sun, his mercury, and the opposition from Neptune? Figure out which one is the tightest aspect, and you will know which aspect is most dominant. For squares and opposition, I would only consider aspects from 0 to 5 degree orbs. Any orb greater than 5 degrees imo exerts only a negligeable influence

When sun and moon clash, it can indicate a fighting nature. It can indicate someone whose core personality is at odd with their emotions.

When moon and mercury clash, it could mean friction between thought process and emotions.

When moon opposes Neptune, that is quite complex. A balance must be maintained between idealism, realism and delusion.

As his Piscean mom, just keep repeating positive affirmations for him, positive affirmations on his future. Make sure you allow him to have his secrets (moon in 8th), and work with his Saturn since it is his chart ruler.

And don't stop being a loving, lovey and showey Piscean mom. On a spiritual level, he picked you as his mum for a reason.

Hi! I’m a Virgo Moon square Gemini Mercury and Sagittarius Neptune. I’m a H11 Moon but also a H8 stellium with Taurus Sun, Jupiter, Venus and Gemini Mercury, so I’m familiar with that energy. I love nature and science. As a kid I loved learning about dinosaurs, geology (I was a major rock collector) and the solar system. Your son might like to visit musea and start collecting something like rocks or things you can find in nature. I loved encyclopedias, especially those with animals or science. I also love gardening and as a kid, I would have loved to grow my own food. Herbs, sunflowers and lettuce are easy to grow together with kids.

I really needed time to zone out in my own little fantasy bubble. I enjoyed drawing and painting a lot (Neptune?). With a prominent H8 and Neptune connection, he might be more sensitive than he would show. I always needed alone time to process my emotions. Being creative helped me with that.

Virgo likes to know they are helping in some way. Give them a small task and let them know you enjoyed their help, it can make their day. Wish you lots of love and fun together with your son!

That’s crazy that not only do we have very similar charts but our children have similar signs as well! I hope you are doing well!

Thank you so much! Yes, my husband and I have a lot of Saturn which I really like. I feel very earthy a lot of times. I’m very grounded compared to most Pisces or water heavy people.

My son’s chart shows his tightest aspect to his moon is his Mercury.

I’m also super curious about his 1st house. Do you remember that stellium last year- with Pluto, Saturn, and
Jupiter? He has that in his first house, which I think is pretty cool! Not sure how it’ll turn out!

Moon in Virgo

The Moon in Virgo child needs to be needed and appreciated, and gets emotional satisfaction from caring for and about others. Frequently animals are the first loves in their lives. The opportunity to learn to tend to an animal provides this child with a sense of skillful accomplishment and personal value. Moon in Virgo can speak to and understand animal behavior instinctively and from an early age.

Moon in Virgo, being an earth sign, receives a sense of emotional well-being from physical affection, from objects and tangible care. A stuffed animal (important that it be an animal that exists in nature rather than in fantasy, and preferably one that exists in their own region) will be consoling to this sensitive little one. This child’s system needs regularity and natural rhythms in their daily lives. They thrive upon a home situation that reflects the natural world through its simplicity and access to nature.

Their health is directly connected to their emotions, and in particular their digestion. They appreciate emotional support from attention to their diet and tending to their small body’s fine-tuned system. Moon in Virgo can be fussy about what they eat and they usually know just what they need. Food combining affects children of this Moon sign more than most, so keep their diet very simple.

The Moon in Virgo child can be quite critical of self, and exceptionally aware of the shortcomings of others too. Mother may have been quite a perfectionist, with very high personal standards as well as being particularly efficient around the home. Moon in Virgo wants to learn from the mother, and will imitate until they get it perfect. Even the simple setting of tables or sweeping of the floor in the early years will give the child a sense of accomplishment.

As a parent, your awareness of this child’s tendency to be extremely hard on themselves can alert you to the danger of casual critical comments, which so many other children would ignore- but not Moon in Virgo. Moon in Virgo can easily lose sight of the larger picture and fixate upon small details. They love crafts projects which give them an opportunity to develop skills.

Yeah that’s what I thought!! And it’s funny because In my own chart my sun, Mercury, moon conjunction tightly aspect my Pluto and Saturn, in addition to Jupiter tightly aspecting Pluto and Saturn. I have always been the type of person who sets goals and achieves them without question. I have a lot of drive and ambition- which I thought was totally normal until people started saying how it amazes them that I’m like that. I suppose my son will be the same way.

Anyways I know we got off topic from the original Virgo moon question but I want to thank everyone who responded! Really, it means so much to me so that I can help better understand what to expect!

Yay! This us definitely the house for him then because I am a huge animal lover. Yesterday was his doggy brother’s 9th adoptaversary. He loves his doggy brother and gets so excited to see him, in return doggy brother kisses him. When I was a kid I wanted to be a veterinarian and up until I got pregnant I was a volunteer at an animal shelter. I think I’ll be able to introduce him to many wonderful animals, his favorite book is about the Zoo!

My mom is a Virgo rising and this is often said about them too. I think she really could benefit from a healthy lifestyle diet but she’s so picky with her food. I can tell when her emotions are out of balance it affects her diet which then affects her even more.
I love cooking (I got it from my dad who was a 6th house sun and cancer moon, and I really hope to have my son learn from me in the kitchen. I truly believe in healthy lifestyles and diets but with moderation of course. I don’t really eat fast food or a lot of sweets or any sodas. I like having him in the kitchen when I cook and maybe when he’s older we can cook together.

*Gulp* it’s like you just read me- I am very much a perfectionist when it comes to myself to which I hold myself to high standards - is this not normal lol? I am also very clean and efficient around the house. I have little tolerance for a dirty messy house. The amount of chores and cleaning I do before sunrise would blow peoples mind I’m sure. I am trying to introduce him to cleaning up his toy area when he’s done playing for the day, even though he still can’t walk yet lol.

My baby— nooo don’t be super hard on yourself boo!!

I think with my Pisces moon I’m very sensitive to how I react to others. I’m always putting myself in their shoes before I speak. I don’t see myself intentionally being super critical with him. But it is something I will monitor and be aware of.

Yay I’m an artist and I’ve already bought him a crafting table with chairs, crayons, craft paper roll, stickers, construction paper, and paintbrushes. He has no idea what any of it is and just throws it all on the floor but I’m ready for when he’s ready to start art projects!! Lol!

Thank you so much! What a great analysis!!!

As a virgo moon myself, I feel like with this placement there more than likely could be some virgo energy circulating, and I’d like to make a reminder to balance any kind of criticism or correcting, with an equal amount of praise, and making them feel like they are great helpers and useful. Because virgo moons looove to feel useful and to help and be ACKNOWLEDGED for it lol, and I gotta add that because I frequently feel like virgo moons can end up feeling resentful when their efforts and help are overlooked or taken for granted.
I was heavily criticized and controlled when I was younger, and imo my virgo placements could contribute to my chronic anxiety and feeling like I’m always doing something “wrong”. But I do have a dominant Pluto, as well as a lot of squares to saturn. I kno my parents mean well, and they think their criticism is helpful or needed but sometimes it’s nice just to hear what you’ve done right or just to feel like you did a good job instead of always worrying if you did everything “perfect” or having to point out every wrong thing I ever do because I’m already fricking thinking about it.
Also, anything that’s challenging and studious to keep the mind focused is great. I’m not sure the age of ur kid, but I loved categorizing and organizing, loved numbers and puzzles, and lots and lots of books. Loved to fix things when I was younger too and very crafty, so anything that makes me good with my hands, doodling, collecting tools and naturally very mechanical, so I enjoyed taking things apart and putting them back together. Personally I’ve seen a lot of very talented people with virgo placements, so encouraging them artistically I feel is a very nice outlet for virgo anxiousness. Virgo thrives in details, it’s literally what I excel in. What people miss, I notice lol and it’s that eye for detail that can really take a piece above and beyond, so that methodical standard can be pretty impressive in the right direction.

Also I’d note, because I just read you have a pisces moon, I feel like that’s a wonderful placement for virgo moon since they are opposites but even though I’m reserved in my feelings I really appreciate very affectionate and loving displays. Now that’s not to say I wouldn’t be mortified with grand displays of public affection *cringe* or anything too loud and boisterous. But my affections very much come out in “how can I help ?” Ways. And very vocal.
Which is another thing I should add is virgo moons need to verbally vent and express itself, there’s this nervous talkativeness that’s needs to get out, otherwise the anxiety internalizes and there’s totally a psychosomatic effect.

I loved dinosaurs when I was a toddler, too. I have a photo of me and my sister, with opened Christmas presents, and one is a massive book about dinosaurs.

I used to be in my own little artistic bubble, and it helped with everything else.

wow! I resonate what PlutoWasHere said about my childhood. I love astronomy, geology, animals and had books about it. Collecting rocks and stickers, esp pretty ones (my Libra moon love pretty things). Science too and hands on projects such as making crystals out of sugar. I had this thick book that shows you how to make them with scientific explanation behind it and many other stuff. My brother's moon is in Virgo and he enjoys baking and learning the scientific portion behind it. I think learning "how things work" is a Virgo thing. Anytime someone explains why or how something works, I get fascinated and intrigued.

One thing that impacted me was my mother's criticism. I felt incapable when I try to help her or do housework; I think patience, explaining and encouragement goes a long way. I love helping in general. My IC's in Virgo. And I have a sensitive gut/digestive system too.
As a child, I would build forts and tents just to seclude myself and read something or draw or even sort my crayons by colors. Having pets were a major theme as well (taking care of an animal brought joy).
