2021 has been the toughest year of my life and with my Saturn Return going exact very soon, it's not looking to get easier. I have never been so beat up emotionally and mentally than at any other point in my life. These days, it's even a struggle to get out of bed since I have lost passion for my job after being treated like crap despite doing good work and a host of other things.

Earlier in the year, I lost someone very near and dear to me, one day I get the news and I get informed that they have passed. It hit me hard and put me down a spiraling downturn of depression where I used alcohol and junk food to cope. Needless to say that I put on the pounds and lost what used to be six pack abs. I already had an unhealthy lifestyle in the pandemic and it got even worse.

I lost it and came pretty close to losing my head.

Then being into Astrology again after a loss of a family member I loved so much, I used Astrology as almost some sort of haven. Realized I was coming up on my Saturn Return and now, it has more or less started as it is within 5 degrees of where Saturn was at when I was born. It goes exact this February which is also when the US Pluto goes exact, not looking forward to that at all.

It's Holiday Season and I know with some of you, I have been tense. I have certain beliefs and am not backing down from them. For a lot of you though, really appreciate the community here.

Let's do our best to lift each other up.

AMEN!

@plutonianmenace, we might not have the easiest communication but I would like you to know that it has never been my intention to make you feel bad. I just see a lot of potential for growth. I wish that 2022 will bring you a lot of happiness, good fortune and personal growth.

HAHA, yup, we have had our scuffles my fellow Plutonian.

I am not too optimistic for 2022, lots of fixed sign planets in my chart and the Uranus-Saturn square is going to affect us a great deal.

Plutonianmenace,

It sounds like a year from hell, and I am very sorry to hear what you have been through.

We appreciate you too. You bring your own brand of intensity, dark humor and wit to this forum, and it would not be the same without you.

I can understand why you’re having trouble seeing the positive in the transits in 2022. You’ve had a rough year and are looking forward to getting of this rollercoaster. I can relate but even though from the outside my divorce looks like a disaster and I should curse Uranus, I’m actually glad it happened. My marriage had turned into a living nightmare that made two people very miserable. Of course it would have been better if we realized in time and worked on it, but we didn’t and now we were broken beyond repair. Uranus energy has helped me to make a drastic but very necessary change.

Saturn also sounds like doom and gloom, but this planet has it benefits too. With Saturn you reap what you sow. If this energy is used positively, it will help you to weed out all the unnecessary distractions in your life so there’s more energy for what you actually want to grow. Without doubt it will be a bumpy ride and it will take a lot of hard work, but you’ll end up with results in the end. Just don’t dodge your responsibilities because Saturn has a way of making that come back to haunt you.

2022 is likely going to be a year of self-reflection and hard work if there is a lot of fixed energy in your chart. But it’s a necessary time in our life so we can focus on what really matters. And there will always will be moments of beauty even when we are sitting amongst the ruins of our old life. A rainbow after a storm, a message from a true friend or maybe just a piece of chocolate with our cup of tea. The darkest hour is always just before the dawn. And In true Plutonian fashion, we will rise from our ashes.

Thanks for your willingness to tell us a bit of your 2021 story.

I hope you can heal and find relief from your loss. Writing about it directly can help. You could even write letters to the one you lost. Sometimes such losses of loved ones are tough because of something left unsaid or undone. But you can still say those things, whatever they may be. Giving voice to them can be healing.

I wish you a healing and happier 2022.

No. Nobody would be happy about that. Not if you’re talking about not existing at all.

I said “ugh” in another thread, because it was about fighting, and it was bumped.

Looking back at it now, I realize that so much of what I cut out was not serving me right even though it hurt at the time. I left a city which was declining in terms of quality of life anyways even though it was a city I always wanted to live in. Looking back, I realized how the drinking buddies I had were not fueling my growth as a person and that in turn was affecting me mentally. I hung out with people I disagreed with on so many levels but never really showed my true self, only for the sake of company and not wanting to be alone. Growing up, I was a loner and as I grew up, I became more social and had more acquaintances.

Since mines is in the 6th, I started to realize how much a toxic work environment with a couple of toxic people that more or less tried to ruin me was affecting my mental health. I understood that I had to make a change but I made it in how I processed it. It came to a point of where I tried to please them to now me just seeing them for who they are and limiting contact. It's like I have somehow gotten better at dealing with the very toxic people that ruined so much of my good time in life.

Now I moved to a part of the country that is more in line with my beliefs and so far, it has been good.

Most of all, lately I have learned the value of perspective in a given situation. I used to always focus on the worst of a situation and not the best. If a job had a couple toxic coworkers, I let them ruin me and take up headspace and not be around as many good people who were there. Granted, some situations were genuinely that bad so I almost had no choice but I still think I could have processed them better. It always came down to me letting toxic situations and coworkers affect my health, go figure, its a 6th house Saturn. Power of positive thinking has slowly started to change my life for the better.

I just notice that lately, I have been more positive and optimistic. I have not been as disgruntled and bitter. Definitely things going the right way here so I love that.

It seems like your Saturn return is already doing it's thing. And our job is usually such an important part of our life. We spend a lot of time there and it affects the way we value ourselves. Toxic co-workers can really make you miserable and make you doubt your own qualities. I'm glad to see that the changes you made in your life are paying of. It's a sign you're on the right path.

Expected with Jupiter's transit opposite your natal Asc, and now contra-parallel your natal Mercury.

This is what Jupiter does — lends perspective, sheds light on the bigger picture, brightens things up. When we remember that and do our best to carry it forward we can stay happier.

Well, Saturn is in 15 degrees Aqua in my Natal chart and currently the transit has it at 12 degrees.

It's getting close guys.
