I want to start with the basics.

The water element is the wisest and most evolved element.

We have three groups, which end in a water sign.

First group:
Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer

Second group:
Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio

Third group:
Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces

Why is the water element the most sacred, and the only human in the zodiac?

Very easy.
The three groups begin with a Fire sign (beginning of creation), and end with a Water sign (wise and sacred element, which bears fruit in life).

The first group begins in Aries and ends in Cancer.
Can we analyze what is Cancer?
Cancer has the initiative and the same sense of "I" as Aries. He has the same infinite patience as Taurus. The same cunning of Gemini. And to all that we add the feelings, emotions.
And there we have Cancer.
That not only has characteristics of its previous signs, but is also responsible for giving life.

Can we analyze what is Scorpio?
Scorpio has the same dignity and fixity as Leo.
The same humility and helpful service to the other as Virgo.
The very social nature of Libra.
And to all this we add the sacred feelings and emotions.

We can analyze what is Pisces?
Pisces has the same elevated mind as Sagittarius.
The same "old age" of Capricorn.
The same global vision of Aquarius.
And to all this we add what only a water sign has.

What is the meaning of all this?
Very easy.
If the water signs are what they are, it is because they have already learned everything that the rest of the elements are living, and now they live for what is truly sacred.

In fact, if the water signs are what they are, it is because they must also learn that the psychopathy, madness, impudence of the Air signs is useless.

Gemini is cunning, traitorous, who goes through life playing with people.
Cancer, the next sign, has already learned or is learning that this is crazy. And create circles, families, where no one plays with anyone.

Libra is seductive, only thinking of superficial partners, fooling everyone, socializing mindlessly.
The next sign is Scorpio who has already learned how crazy this is.
and socializes in a more sacred and deep way, seeks real ties with their partners, (or just a partner, because Scorpio is not a sign made to have a thousand partners, we already have Libra for that),
and the only sign capable of defying death, only for love.

Aquarius is psychopathic, immoral, heartless, a brain that is a machine, which makes Aquarius a machine.
A mad scientist.
You know, those who are capable of torturing animals, or people (if Aquarius does not do this it is to avoid jail), only for scientific experiments.
Aquarius may not torture people like that, but the mind games, the coldness, and the utter cruelty they show towards those closest to them, makes it worse.
Here comes Pisces, the last sign, and the most sacrificed.
Understand that the evil of Aquarius is insane, and now only absolute humility remains.

Hi WhiteBirds .. Very interesting thoughts. You have a poetic way of expressing yourself.

In Vedic Astrology, when a planet crosses the area from a Water Sign to a Fire Sign, there exists a zone called the 'Sacred Knot' (= "Gandanta"). Lots of emotion in that transit.

Quote:
"Water and Fire-
Agni {fire} and apas {water} are two contrary elements.
Fire can heat up the water and water can extinguish fire.
So negotiating this area of chart is complex but it is also the area where the 'maximum spiritual development' takes place.
Any planet placed in gandanta is in a difficult position
and will have to face 'material' issues in regard to its house rulerships and significations.

(Read the whole article for capturing the 'feel' of it. When not familiar with language/terms, just try to get the general jiste.
{Navamsa chart is called D-9 chart: its a chart drawn up on the 9th House slice of the natal chart. Focus is on issues of relationship, including spousal.}

I'm mentioning this, to add to what your thoughts on water signs, where you wrote about "the sacred feelings and emotions."

Gandanta exists at the point of crossing between these signs:
Pisces to Aries
Cancer to Leo
Scorpio to Sagittarius.

Interesting and thought provoking analysis. Thank you for sharing this with us. I am always on the lookout for new ways to understand the signs and astrology.

I couldn't help but cringe at the description of Scorpio, as having "The very social nature of Libra." The scorpion animal is a solitary animal, and the human scorpio by nature is definitely not the life of the party.

Perhaps a better approach would be that Scorpio has gone through the very social nature of Libra and learned from it.

And I personally believe all elements are sacred. We cannot do without air. We cannot do without the earth we are standing on. We cannot do without fire which warms us up.

I must say, the narcissism and desperation to be seen as important cannot be debated when it comes to water signs. A while back, I got a lot of flak for pointing out how many articles there are written by "Astrologers" to portray Scorpio as the "strongest sign". I am even baffled by Astrologers desperately wanting to portray Mars as the best placement for Scorpio when it also sits domicile in Aries and is exalted in Capricorn.

We cannot let Astrology get bastardized by its babies desperately wanting validation. People give Leos a lot of flak for attention but my goodness, this water sign bias and the desperation of water signs to be seen as above others is bad for astrology and makes me cringe. I'd say, perhaps those with a lot of water placements, instead of writing drivel like this thread would do better to actually self-reflect and ask "Where is my desperation for validation and attention coming from?".

"Why do I desperately need to tell the world that I am more important than others?".

"Where is my insecurity coming from?".

Astrology has a tough time as is being taken seriously by the masses who affiliate it with Newspaper horoscopes than anything else. After that we get biased Astrologers desperately playing favorites and trying to hype up some signs and elements while beat down others.

FWIW, Water is not the most sacred element. Even if you look in the universe, plenty of planets do not even have water. What planets need more than anything is heat energy to survive and get going. There is a reason as to why people talk "Sun signs" when they ask for your sign, it is what everything revolves around. You might hate it but tough like.

I also think that AIR is the most advanced and important of all the elements, we cannot move forward without it. Air is progress and air is advancement of society, it helps us grow to a higher power through logic and reasoning as opposed to infantile emotions.

I believe water is actually the least evolved of all the elements as it centers itself around infantile emotions rather than logic, action, or rational thinking.

Go cry about it, I know you will, it's in your blood.

Well said @plutonianmenace.

I agree water is where birth begins. The embryo. Water is cleansing, baptizing. Water has a quality I can understand it as it gets great attention as sacred. Yet fire is all this too. The masculine side. No one Element is stronger than another - imo.
I do find water works as the "conduit". Which most circle debates over religion and psychic abilities will lean upon.
Even those houses are most held high amongst the Astrology world. 4/8/12.

If I were to look at sacredness in charts, there's a lot to consider. I'm alone here but I feel taking a decan into consideration should as well be considered and by element, to me it shouldn't be "this or that". Just another way to hold prejudice.
They all can cleanse. They all can RENEW. Bring pureness. Earth has the ability to take in the dead and the dead brings forth new fruit. Regenerative. Air as Pluto said is cleansing. As well carries spirit, messages etc. Like the birds may be multi dimensional.
Fire as I said purification, it is light. Very 9th house. After all Sagittarius comes from 9th. Which that house is the enlightenment one yet it is not a WATER house
Scorpio is certainly a sign in water that sees both death/living. It being much like
a phoenix, knowing the dualistic nature we each have within. We all have every element, even if our energies don't live in them, the wheel we are affixed to in this life are ours. They rotate. By seeking our progression and return charts we see those dormant areas light up.

I don't think that any of them are the least-evolved. Some of the cruelest people, don't show much emotion. They get all sorts of credit for being so mature, when you just don't see what they're capable of.

I wouldn't say anything is better than another, there is good and bad sides to all of the signs. Considering water signs as the best just feeds into the idea that someone is more 'evolved' than another. Which then makes the impression that someone is wiser, more intuitive, more etc etc etc. No one is better, and if that individual seriously considers themselves as so, that's a completely different discussion.

I have a lot of Pisces in my chart, my rising, moon, venus are all in Pisces. I have met a lot of water signs who are 'evolved' but I have met many many water signs who are not. We all can fall into a dark path just like anyone else can.

Yes, water signs can be all of those good things, but they have their own faults. No one is perfect, nor should they be.

Honestly, I felt bad for all the signs you mentioned after the water signs. Labeling someone as psychopathic or insane doesn't sit right with me, and unless you have a Ph.D. in psychology I'm going to have to disagree.

If you're talking about the archetype of the signs based on what astrologers write, then you're not wrong. I have read similar insights, that also made me uncomfortable with their bold use of psychological terms.

But people are more complex than just a paragraph someone can read on the internet. Just as astrology is so complex and beautiful, and much more than just a person acting a certain way because they're 'this sign.'

I hope to God that you mean this metaphorically.

There can be good and bad in all of the signs.

I do enjoy analogies or symbolism though. Although, you could also make one up for each of the elements, as well as modalities.

Which would be equally as offensive for all of the signs, lol.

I would even venture as to play devil's advocate with you and say that I think fire signs are the most sacred, because you're right that they are the first, but I think what you're referring to is something that doesn't really exist in a real sense or reality. Fire signs are supposed to be honest, fearless, bold, childlike, innocent, inspiring, spontaneous, active, outgoing, etc.... yet this isn't always the case. I get what you're saying though and like I said I do enjoy the story of it, imagination, or the originality behind your source of true derivative, core, foundational astrology. I just don't understand the flavour in which you have gone about it, basically outlining negative traits about signs, when we all have negative traits to us.

Hell, I'll even go further playing devil's advocate here. You could say that throughout the course of history, there have been some very terrible people that have either killed, raped, tortured, etc..... in all of the zodiac signs.

Again, I can't tell if this is a literal attack on all elements that are not water, and if so, it's hilarious.

If not, and this is just a strange example of your artistry concerning a metaphorical showcase of some negative traits that signs can possess and overcome, then I'll say yes, it's very creative.

That's why I hope this wasn't literal. lol

If it was a literal attack then I can assure you that not all water signs are the innocent, "pure," or perfect little angels that you make them out to be. I don't know if you've ever heard of Mike Tyson before, yeah... well he's a Cancer and if you would have been interested in boxing back in the day, there could have been a good chance that you lost part of your ear.

Is that the stereotypical Cancer you were referring to though as far as being "learned" from Gemini's "evil" "traits?"
