What are your thoughts on this alone?I want to figure out why and how it is my partner had learning difficulties in high school. I'm confused because I also have a 3rd House Mercury trine Saturn and I excelled in my teenage years, as well as my first two years of university. 2 years left! Thank you! You are listing some positions, and without even mentioning the degrees. This is not giving a feel of the chart and any insight into the chart. I mean, if you are truly curious, post the chart. IP: Logged |

Alright, understood. I don’t know how to post photos, so I added a link to his chart in the post. IP: Logged |

Okay this is what jumped out to me:He has Mercury in Pisces, which is in its fall or in its detriment ((because it is in a sign opposite Mercury ruled sign Virgo. That is how traditional astrology assigns qualities to planets signs.) Secondly, said Mercury is squared by natal Uranus that sits right on the ascendant. So the challenges he experiences regarding his Mercury come from him, his rebelliousness, his need to be different and not to conform. He feels the need to forge a path for himself. Traditional school learning may not always benefit him. This is the native who might learn better as a self-made person. IP: Logged |

...And In itself, Mercury in Pisces is not rational or logical, so it is not well suited for academic excellency. It functions best intuitively. It is a wonderful mercury for the arts, spirituality, healing, or anything that does not require too much logical thinking. IP: Logged |

Ohh okay, I thought it would be different because his Pisces Mercury is in The 3rd House & aspects Saturn. IP: Logged |

Saturn trine lends a supportive hand which will enable him to learn through applying himself. But Old Man Saturn's benefits tend to come with aging or maturing. You asked why he was not learning very well in his teens. Saturn tends to be tough on the young. Saturn does not usually grant gifts in teenagehood. ETA: Saturn's location in his 11th house means there will be older or more mature friends or mentors in the community that can help him eventually apply his Mercury positively.
