It's not about element, it's about modality. Cardinal signs in general may be the ones to move on and as are mutable signs but fixed signs always hold on to things.

Yes, this is true. Fixed has a bigger issue "letting go". That isn't just of bad energy, sometimes they are last to see the good days are over too. Fixed signs get attached to Good and bad.
Idk what concept you had in mind when posting this but say a Fixed sign gets stuck on the idea someone is uppity. After time goes by they may assume the person still is, in fact the person may had been humbled and just quiet. That's one Fixed sign I know, assuming that remains - as though other's don't evolve, change.

Yes and no. I’m Taurus dominant, so according to mainstream Astrology I’m very stubborn. But I don’t desperately cling to things that don’t serve me anymore. Loyal, yes! Self destructive, hell no! And no I don’t give up, I just change my strategy. It does make me think long and hard about what I really want. And then it’s all a matter of putting things into perspective.
