Topic: Are Cancer venus men easily smitten by beauty?

Everything Ive read about Cancer venus men indicates they like "motherly" or very "feminine" type of women.A Taurus man with both Cancer venus and Cancer moon has recently showed interest in me. He's been working on remodeling my family's house for the past couple months. Im a homebody for the most part and have been around my grandma and great grandma helping my grandma take care of her. I am very close with my grandma so she's basically my mom lol.
The guy working in the house isn't not a fluent English speaker, but my grandma speaks his language so she talks to him a lot. Through my grandma, after a few weeks of him working on our house, coming everyday 8am to 4pm he asked my grandma if he could take me out.
I was surprised by this because I didn't talk very often to him. He expressed to my grandma how Im the prettiest girl he's ever seen. Super surprising because like honestly Im not that pretty if you ask me LOL but it still was sweet to hear.
I told my grandma that I would go out with him.
But Im torn. Up til now I have been focusing on school and achieving my dreams. I told myself Im not ready for a relationship. But I couldn't say no to him, because he seemed like a nice guy. Im comfortable around his energy and from the things my grandma tells me about him, honestly he's my type. His morals and values, etc
People told me I should to just go on a date with him with no expectations. So I guess I thought why not. Even though Im leery, I guess it wouldn't hurt. And even if I wouldn't expect a romantic relationship I still want to know him as a person. Theres something about him I like. He found out it was my birthday which just passed and he got me flowers. That was really sweet. That was the first time a guy ever did that for me, and also the first time Ive ever been asked out. I have had guys shown interest in me but mostly it felt so superficial to me because I think it felt more like a cat call or just liking how I look. But I still cant help but wonder how I even attracted this guy in the first place? Could it also just be my looks? Idk because everything I read on Cancer venus seems to describe him to a T. Like he literally wanted me to cook for him and make him coffee (which I did once while I was making coffee for my grandma lol)
If he thinks Im so pretty Im guessing he has to like me for just how I look or are cancer venus men not usually like that? He was slow to show interest (which I liked) but there are plenty of girls prettier than me, and being as he doesn't seem the very assertive type Im surprised he has took that much initiative.
Plus cancer venus men like Cancer type women? I have 0 Cancer in my chart and Im an unstable Pisces, while he seems to have his head more straight on than me to be honest. I wasn't expecting anything from him showing interest in me at first. I was a little scared though because I didn't want a relationship yet! But I would be lying if I say I wasn't swayed. Even the small interactions Ive had with him seem sweet I almost feel like Im in a romance novel or something lol
idk but I also don't want to be disappointed. It's a lot to unpack and so unexpected. But even though I still want to get to know him through actually talking to him and not astrology, I still want some idea of him I cant help it lol
I have the gest because my grandma talks to him so much !
But he seems textbook cancer venus man I have never had a cancer venus man show interest in me. But it can also just be infactuation with my looks. IP: Logged |

"but oh baby, what if you fly?" You have absolutely nothing to lose if you accept the date. From your description I would say you like him a lot and he obviously likes you. And you will get to inow him better and see where things will lead. And the fact that he asked your grandmother for a blessing to take you out is sooo cancer, old fashioned and sooooo sweet in my opinion (I also have venus and sun in cancer-but I'm a woman)
So funny, cuz I also have a "story" going on with a man that entered my life who is taurus sun, moon and venus in cancer. They come across as extremely caring and sweet and kind of innocent and from what I got to know about him from people who know him longer, he really is like that.

Thank you for your advice! You're right, I dont have anything to lose. The reason why Im afraid is what if I really like him, my dream involves me going to another country and I don't want to hurt his feelings. But I do think I shouldn't get so ahead of myself! lol Personality wise he seems like the type of guy Ive always wanted as a husband. He does seem kind and he is also hardworking. He's two years younger than I am! which kind of made me reluctant because I prefer guys older than me but I guess it doesn't really matter since its not a huge gap Interesting you also have Cancer venus! I don't have much interaction with this placement. I do with Cancer moon since my sister's a cancer moon, but not the venus. What's the story with your Taurus guy? You got me interested now! lol

If you go on a date, it doesn’t mean you going to get married or heartbroken. Even if you start to date, it still doesn’t give you a warranty how it’ll end. You might end up friends or see you have nothing in common. First impression attraction is an initial reason to start something. Take it easy and don’t go into Neptunian phantasy and expectations.

Imo a Leo/Cancer might be very easily smitten by a beautiful person. I know a Leo Venus person who is very taken by beauty. The Smitten factor could differ based on decans, cusps and maybe the Moon too.I think because Moon rules Cancer, it may be needed to seen for full understanding. If the Venus man's Moon is aspected by Noon, he might feel very emotional towards they whom they deem as beautiful.
I have a twin flame who has seen my glamourous and basic pics. He is Venus Leo and Cancer rising, very attracted to me. So that cusp might indicate something more for you.

Hey SoulOfabird.Hope you went for the date 😉. Tell us how it went.
And funnily enough my taurus guy is also yunger than me, and it's the first time in my life I'm attracted to a yunger guy.
But he is very caring and super nice towards me, many times goes out of his way for me (we occasionally work together). He is extremely intelligent and funny. He appears to be more of an emotionally introverted person, but then again with cancer energy, you need time to really display your romantic feelings (if you have any).
He is very hard working too. He is just aaah, perfect in my eyes (but I do have neptune opp 5th H and that neptune of mine is also opposing his venus in synastry). For now I gave up for something more to happen between us, cuz he is taking it way too slow for my taste. I feel like he just wants to be friends maybe and I misread his nice behavior towards me for something more. But his venus on my stellium, sun/juno on IC and pluto on Mars makes it hard to accept that I was wrong about about us. How is your synastry with the guy looking? IP: Logged |

Actually, I see it in the opposite way i.e Cancer Ven men can look for a partner (man or woman) whom will take care of them. But it also alters with aspects.They may like a "dutiful" masculine woman who'll wear the pants (somewhat) and be the one to tend to their needs. If Mars is in aspect (especially conjunct), this may alter things and they may prefer to be the one who does the caring etc. They may not like it when their "masculinity " is challenged. So they may date more "delicate" partners (male or female). IP: Logged |

Yes, I agree with you Aries it can actually be both ways. I do want a partner that will not have a problem with doing things for me, because I do the same. For me, one of the main expressions that I love someone is when I feel I want to take care of them.
But yes, cancer venus can feel almost like a helpless child at times. And behave that way too 😅IP: Logged |

And of course I'm a woman so there is a difference. But my venus has no aspects to mars only trine to saturn and pluto. But the ruler moon is in aries, so here's the mars influence in my case. IP: Logged |

But my cancer venus guy has a strong trine from aqua mars to his venus and a tight opposition from saturn - uranus in capricorn. Even his career path is about taking care of others, the helpless ones especially. IP: Logged |

With Saturn, there is always a deep seated need to be taken care of. But then the dutiful Saturn energy often feels the guilt of that and can't get over it.Cap/Sat energy loves to work. Work is its own reward. And they are most at peace when they feel "useful"and productive.One can't be either(in their minds) when passively receiving
care. So they (by default) end up being the ones who are doing the "taking care of".
They attract the "take care of me coz I cant do it myself " people a lot. This especially if Sat is on Moon/Sun/Ven This goes for the trine/sextiles too. But I see it most viscerally in the conjunctions, squares and oppositions.

That need from saturn it feels more like a right for me😅. Like really, not that I'm especially proud of that, but also in my childhood there was always this Saturn (in my case my grandfather), who at the end always made everything I needed, wanted come true, especially materially.
And again, not that I wear it proudly, I do feel guilty at times and superficial but can't imagine myself with along term partner that for example makes less money than me. I need the feeling that if everything collapsees in my life, this figure will be there who will save me, take care of me until I get back on my feet.That's maybe also my moon in 2nd house. And yes, that guy's saturn in capricorn is also opposing his moon by 7 deg and sextile to mars.
I guess we are a great match in that way, I also started working with him because I had special requests that no one else was willing to meet, haha, but with him it seems like he really enjoys our collaboration and meeting all my sudden requests.
And I really appreciate him, I don't take it for granted and I don't take advantage of his availability. IP: Logged |
