Mercury Conjunct Sun This could happen with a bored Gemini and wanting to stir up a little fun to entertain themselves, try to get a reaction out of someone and then confirm there conclusion about someone based on there reaction. If a Gemini matures they'll start to do it less..or for the right reasons. I did trick all my family members to come to my mom's impromptu birthday....so I guess it wasn't wrong of me... "No harm No foul"!!!. When I do troll for bad purposes it's more of a revenge or I'm a not to sure about someone and need confirmation. My Planets

I don't think people nescessarily mean harm by trolling. There can be a competitive element. Wanting to outsmart someone or feeling like you win when you can get someone angry. I think Mars in aspect to Mercury works that way. I have my Mars parallel Mercury, so a part of me really wants to be the one that pushes the buttons and can outsmart the other. But I do feel there are boundaries. I like intellectual banter but I don't like it when something escelates in a brutal shouting match. I think it's distasteful. IP: Logged |

I don’t see trolling as community members disagreeing. I see it as someone who doesn’t care about anyone there. The one would stir up trouble, and implicate a best friend, or someone else, and then so it wasn’t that person, it was TWO PEOPLE, who should have been banned years ago. They would also threaten to sue. They enjoyed having friends and acquaintances try to guess who they were talking about, possibly implicating each other, and then trashing the person who was said to be the one doing it. She tried it on me, a few times, and it was insanely childish, but at times effective. People getting their kicks from things like that. Shouting matches are going to happen, in this political climate. It isn’t just one thing, and human rights are at stake for a lot of people. That isn’t trolling. Conspiracy theories are mass trolling. A couple of years ago, I had a Republican imply that I ate babies. She really believed that about democrats. Shouting matches used to be a regular thing here. I stayed out of a lot of them. Threads would keep going, and be moved to GU, or closed. I can recall some real slanging matches. Threads here now, are nothing in comparison. IP: Logged |
