Planets in Aspect
Understanding Your Inner Dynamics
c) 1974 Para Research, IncQuotations
Chapter on: INCONJUNCTS
(general info and intro) p. 227
. .
The inconjunct aspect is formed when
two planets are separated by an angle of
one hundred fifty degrees (150).
. .
It 'links' planetary influences between signs
that have 'no sympathy'
for each other by 'element or quality' --
and are therefore functioning
under great strain.
. .
The inconjunct has the 'dynamics' of
.. Mars, Mercury, and Pluto;
the 'qualities' of
.. Aries, Virgo, and Scorpio; and
the 'circumstances' associated-with
.. the first, sixth, and eighth houses. {1,6,8}
. .
This aspect relates to the effects produced by aggression;
[It] spills either
into the 'sixth house' {H6},
where social obligations are fulfilled
.. for 'personal' satisfaction,
or into the 'eighth house' {H8},
where obligations are fulfilled
.. for 'the benefit of others'.
All signs and their aspectual correspondences
react specifically from
their opposites.
. .
From this we determine that the inconjunct is
.. a product of 'Pisces and Taurus',
and of subtle-prompting from
.. the 'twelfth and second' houses.
. .
Our experience has indicated that
the inconjunct
shows an attempt to become free from social obligations
by performing 'services' for others.
. .
It relieves the burden of subconscious psychological guilt
for past inaction or transgression.
. .
The inconjunct is the opportunity to prevent
additional liabilities from accumulating
by 'sacrificing' personal desires and
[by] offering all-available-resources
for the benefit of others.
. .
All inconjuncts have this distinguishing feature --
regardless of the signs involved.
The 'pressure and strain' produced BY the inconjunct
can be relieved only by 'understanding and compromise' --
{which are} the essential nature of Libra, which opposes Aries.
. .
Sharing and giving
seem to be the only solutions to the dilemma
posed by the inconjunct.
. .
Through the inconjunct, one wins approval
for what can be accomplished
when one is motivated TO serve, rather than
BE served.
. .
The only alternatives are the negative and sometimes tragic results
of 'poor health' and death.
SUN inconjunct PLUTO
p. 231-232
The Sun inconjunct Pluto indicates that
you take on duties (that others reject)
even though you may be bitterly resentful of these duties.
You overreact to the expectations of others and
usually do MORE than you need-to (or should).
. .
A guilt-factor in your personality
makes you continually strive to prove that you are 'doing your share'.
You make punishing demands on yourself,
and unless you exercise 'moderation',
this will bring on negative physical reactions.
. .
Moreover,
other people will be extremely displeased and resentful
if you expect *them* to copy your efforts.
. .
Try not to compare yourself with others
who are performing similar tasks.
In searching for 'the approval of others',
you drive yourself very hard.
You tend to be obsessed with
gaining the admiration of people
to whom you feel inferior.
. .
You are overly preoccupied with
the power and position they may have.
. .
Concern yourself with [your own] personal goals and objectives,
and develop your potentials to successfully meet competition.
. .
You may have to make sacrifices in order to
realize your ambitions,
but don't sacrifice your ambitions
to satisfy someone else's goals.
As the foregoing suggests, {recommendation is that}
you 'should' become a bit selfish.
. .
* Learn to understand your 'limitations',
and 'define' your goals within them.
* Confide in someone whom you trust to advise you,
and take that person's advice.
Your need to 'like yourself'
will probably be satisfied
when you can 'see' the results of
a well-organized plan for achieving success.
. .
* You must learn to dispense with nonessentials,
and to focus-your-efforts on a particular objective.
* You should refrain from
taking-on any adversaries until you are fully trained,
and have [the] confidence that you can succeed.
* Don't wrestle with other people's wills.
The less conflict you create in dealing with others, the better.
* Tension and its accompanying problems
will soon disappear when you learn to relax.
