Jupiter is considered the "protector" planet to planet earth. It may have eaten other planets that were going to be on a collision course with planet earth. In the past, it has drawn to itself and "eaten" many asteroids and other celestial bodies that would have collided with planet earth.

That's my take on this.

Well I don't know if Jupiter is a boy planet or a girl planet. But Jupiter known to be for "expansion". So yep, it will eat everything that come across it sight, how can it expand if he doesn't eat, lol.

eta: Never mind, it a boy planet, lol. The male planets are Sun, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto.
Feminine are Moon Venus and Neptune. And Uranus and Mercury is neutral.
