I'm curious which signs would participate in these extreme sports competitions, I was thinking about it since I like running marathons myself and prioritizing my physical health. I considered virgo but in my experience they seem to have more health issues that make them be super health conscious. The ones I meet are usually sick pretty often and on the weaker side physically. I dated a Sagittarius for a bit who was a personal trainer, and I've noticed a few capricorn be concerned about their physical fitness. Ironman and an ultramarathon are so extreme, yet I see people participate in them and can't help but wonder what's going on astrological wise. I know it depends on the sign but I'd love some insights in what others have noticed. I have a sun conjunct mars but it's 9° which I swear fuels me for these things, but my sister is an aries and definitely not into physical health so I wonder what other aspects would play into extreme sports like the ones mentioned above. Maybe saturn? I think Scorpio might be interested but I haven't met any that are very interested in extreme competitions like that. ------------------ Pisces ascendant Aquarius sun Pisces moon Aquarius mars Pisces Venus 12th house stellium IP: Logged |

I used to think I’d like to try that race that was televised, maybe twenty years ago. Not the amazing race, something really tough. But that’s like these guys who seem to be hankering for a civil war. I’m out of shape, and even when I was in shape, I would get a fever if I exercised five days in a row. I couldn’t handle the race I was watching. I think the show was called Eco-Challenge. I’m an Aries. IP: Logged |

Your focus is on sun signs. I don't think you can look at the sun sign and use it to decide or determine who participates in sports competition. IP: Logged |

It wasn't my intention to, I was curious about aspects and positions in the chart, and any insight or experience that people have regarding this question. Do you have any information to share?IP: Logged |

Aries would do that if they get pumped up with competitiveness. However, they are more into sprints than marathons. Virgo would do it if they’re convinced it’s helpful for their health or a good cause. Saggy might do it for fun, challenge, a company.IP: Logged |

Not signs, but I always think Mars Pluto or Mars Saturn. Drive, determination, will....I have known several marathoners and they often have Mars Pluto. I could see Capricorn energy being involved too. IP: Logged |

I think that the tension in a chart can create someone with a fighting spirit. This spirit of fighting can come through the perspective of looking at challenges (whether emotional/physical) as worthwhile to overcome. They look at overcoming obstacles as akin to being "revitalized"/ "thrilling" or even "emotionally fulfilling". Mars(energy of competition and fighting) has to there somehow. Maybe as Ari/Mars energy somehow. Tom Brady has Aries Dsc with Moon in Aries. He is very motivated by competition. His Venus (ruler of 1st house) is parallel Mars(ruler of the 7th). He enjoys (Ven) competition (Mars) His chart is similar to Milind Soma (a participant in these things). He has Tau Asc with Venus/Mars conj in Sag opp Jup. Add to that, Sun-Sco & 7th house house (Mars co-rules Dsc in Sco). He is yet another one who enjoys open competition. His 5th house ruler (of fun) is Mercury and in the 7th house. It also forms a contra-parrallel aspect to Jupiter. People with Mars ruling the 7th.Mars square Dsc or Mars conj Dsc are often ignited by open challenges/competitive situations. I have Mars conj Dsc(open competition). Ven is in Mars ruled Scorpio in 7th. Mars is also part of the T-square angle with Merc/Moon. IP: Logged |

I’m not that competitive, it was more of a challenge. Fantasy versus reality. I used to do step aerobics when I was a teen, they were better for my knees, and then I’d be starving, and run to make a refried bean burrito. So, I’d eat that, and then do arm work with weights, leg work, and when the food had gone down, my abs. My sister is physically stronger, and could handle more. I would do things like try a stability ball, fall off it, but have fun, and gradually work up to doing well. Then I’d celebrate that. I was also scared of jumping the water, when I learned to swim. Once I got over it, I would see how deep I could go. Typical kid stuff, but I liked to push myself, as long as I was having fun. IP: Logged |

I used to be super into doing crazy fitness things. 4 hours of hot yoga followed by a “small” bike ride to work-across Los Angeles. In the heat and sun. Then I might have been anxious around bed time and decided to go out for a run. Things like that. Every day. Until I crashed and burned. I have Virgo mars 1H conjunct Leo Asc. Parallel (conjunct) Pluto. I have never managed to “empty myself out” physically and once I get going, I’ll keep on going. I’m the type of person that would climb a mountain just to see how fast I can do it. IP: Logged |

Hmm I could definitely see why saturn and mars/pluto may be involved. I'm saturn dominant and I'm very much into challenging myself and continuing on whether it be climbing mountains or running to face my own mind. But I also have an Aries SN so that may play a part.At one point I looked up a runners chart, though I don't know if it was correct, what I found was he had an aries moon and a virgo mars. Both which I think make sense, though the virgo mars I met was borderline OCD they definitely were fit and I can only guess as to how much energy an aries moon might have lol I've noticed some taurus sun's be very passionate about fitness, I never was able to look at their chart but sometimes I meet Taurus who seem to give me energy similar to Scorpio just more quiet yet just as deadly. Thank you all for the replies, I'm the only one in my family into fitness like this so I was curious about what other people thought. <3 ------------------ Pisces ascendant Aquarius sun Pisces moon Aquarius mars Pisces Venus 12th house stellium IP: Logged |
