Sometimes I think transits can make for fashion/lifestyle changes. My Taurus moon friend went from girly goth to hippy. She went more hippy/bohemian when Uranus went into Taurus. IP: Logged |

haha I have an Aquarius stellilum and 11th house Sun. Mars, NN, and MC! My sister describes my style as grunge fairy.
My sister also jokingly calls me a hipster
I do smoke weed.
I've done mushrooms and acid once
I like Also Guthrie, Led Zepplin, some Beatles
I own some tie dye things.
I do come across happy to people in general
Sometimes I don't wear bras
I do try to go organic and non gmo and GF My not hippie tendencies are
I like guns
I like a lot of other genres like goth, underground rap, and folk punk.
I like meat Mars, Uranus, and Pluto are most active in my chart.

Probably Uranus, Neptune or Jupiter. I was raised by hippies and noticed a lot of people around us had those placements. I noticed a good amount of 12th house placements as well because people involved in that community tend to have various issues whether it's addiction, mental or physical issues. But they also can be very spiritual and philosophical which I see a lot in jupiter and Neptune placements. Uranus and Neptune are my dominant placements and I definitely can fall into the hippy category when it comes to certain things.------------------

My mother always considered me to be her flower child, who would have been out protesting in the 60s, if I'd been alive.I'm an Aries, Gem, Scorpio, Uranus aspecting almost everything. Ceres and Chiron conjunct my Sun. I hate guns, learned about herbs, and other alternative health things, but also regret being pulled so far in that direction, for a while. I'm all about balance. dope is technically referring to heroin just saying, when people who smoke weed call it dope they sound like they're doing something else to anyone who has used hard drugs or been around them. 🤷♀️ IP: Logged |

some of these standards don't really make sense to me like i love weed and psychedelics and have had plenty of both, and rarely wear bras and like herbs and plants and gardening etc and prefer to use all natural stuff etc but like i don't like the music or have the politics or wear the clothes that are associated with thatto me a hippie is about the music and ideals and politics etc not liking plants and drugs a lot, so by my standards i'm far from it IP: Logged |

I don’t think of myself as a hippy. I think of Charles Manson, whenever they come up. Mum just told me that I was her flower child. Peaceful, and all that. I also have the politics for it, but I don’t do drugs. I don’t trust gurus, and that was a big thing. Yoga, Buddhism, gurus. They’re all still telling you how to live your life. Hippy phenomenon started when Uranus and Pluto were in Virgo. And it had died down by the time these 2 planets left Virgo and moved into Libra. True hippies should be very much into natural stuff, natural living, natural health, all things natural like the earth, plants and animals, and should also be a little anti establishment. I could be hippie than. I don’t think my Aqua friend is crazy anymore when she says we need to run farther from civilization, move somewhere into the woods.
However, I find it hard to be without comfort provided by civilization and live completely clean life.
And I cannot call that Aqua hippie because there’s no free-spirit yet, much Pluto and Saturn troubles.Also, stereotypical Virgo is pretty far from stereotypical Hippie.

In the past if you asked someone what a hippy was the answer would be very different then now. As someone who has been a part of that community, it has taken a turn to be more focused on drug use and partying. Not saying that all hippies do this, nor am I saying that you are one if you do drugs, but a great majority are very psychedelic positive. It's hard to automatically label someone as a hippy though based on traits alone, just because the people in the community vary when it comes to their mindset and lifestyle. The darker side of hippies is focused on drugs, partying, breaking the law and being very anti-establishment. But they see it as a good thing and they're more evolved because they do it, once again this isn't everyone just my experience. The most terrifying ones I met have been self proclaimed shamans who create a following of people who believe they're the next spiritual leader. The positive traits I've seen are being very open minded, positive thinking, health focused and spiritually inclined. Conversations can lean toward questioning the very existence of reality, social constructs and their own personal experiences. They can reject societies ideals of beauty, want to grow their own food and live off grid in a community, and create a very healthy give and take relationship with each other to keep balance. Sometimes they can be focused on the Devine masculine and Feminine, which is another topic entirely, tarot, crystals, yoga etc. Once again these things don't make someone a hippy, but generally it's a mix of everything. Of course there are hippies that don't fall into the stereotypical box, but still fit into the community so there really isn't a true answer for what is or isn't a hippy. Politics can vary from person to person, and some of them don't even care about it at all because they consider it a social construct. It just all depends on the community you interact with, and how they evolved and created space. I've had some very amazing experiences, and some terrifying when it comes to hippies. IP: Logged |
