Are there personal planets in particular sign(s) that could result in someone being mostly a homebody? Or perhaps any house placements, or transits in particular?

If the birth chart is accurate, a 4th house emphasis, or even if the Moon is there. That's the case with me. I'm kind homebody and spend a lot of time in the kitchen.

The 4th house is the house of home/private life.

Cancer or Moon rising (1st house/near Asc) in introverted types can virtually guarantee a degree of homebody tendencies.

I may go way off conventional wisdom here and say that fixed Sun signs can be very homebound. This especially if Moon is in Tau/Cancer.

Fixed energy doesn't like too much movement outside their known parameters. And there is a need to control the relative environment (which being homebound can allow).

So perhaps Sun in 4th ?Sun in 2nd?

I have an Aqua friend with Moon in Pisces. Moon is in 3rd house conj Mars/Merc. Both aspect Ura by square. Does he go anywhere outside of home? No.

Sun in Aqua in house 2. He only travels mentally. And will(once in a blue Moon) take a tour somewhere. In fact Uranus was on his progressed Sun when he did exactly that. He went to Cape Town.

Another has Sun in Leo, Moon in Cancer. Also not the type to leave home. Prefers hosting from home and has quite frankly never left the neighbourhood he was born in. I don't know his birth time though

I like to homebody. I could stay home for days...but after some days if I get this level of privilege I will go crazy and want to go out for any reason.

I have Jupiter in Cancer.

I noticed that when my 11th house is empty I am more likely to homebody hermit. I saw the shift when Uranus changed from my 11th to 12th and just wanted everyone to leave me alone because I was working so much and spent. It got better once Neptune entered my 11th house too. Oh and Pluto square my Sun 11th house can make me feel pretty isolated. I am so curious about my social life once this transit is done for good soon.

OMG I was talking with my mom about dad. He has the Cancer moon. Mom was saying he is willing to travel for golf. I was like wrong, he is not going to France to golf. He is only motivated to leave the state for family, and his old job a few times, he use to go out of state to teach people how to install CD players inside older cars. LOL. He is down south golfing with his bother because his brother is snow birding there and wants his help with his trailer. If it wasn't for his brother wanting help on his southern property he would have zero interest in golfing there right now.

I have a Cancer moon and three planets in the 4th house (outer planets though). While I love to stay in MY home, where I'm alone and can work in peace and feel good without disturbances from other humans I LOVE to travel, too!
I love being alone and I mean no people around me, so being alone at home is the best way to be on my own. I have seen many countries and I love exploring and just because I enjoy my own company at home doesn't mean I'm a homebody.
My boyfriend (Taurus sun, Cap ascendant) can be not only in the house but in one place in the house for hours without moving. I cannot do that. I have to leave my appartment just for a little while because I need some movement outside.

I would say a heavily aspected 4th house.

Important planets in Cancer, even Taurus...

North Node in 4th house... However I know someone with NN in 4th house, and he is not really a homebody, but he hates to travel...

IC @ 28.11 Libra (Placidus) conjunct Saturn & Pluto, Moon conjunct Saturn & Pluto, 4th house ruler is Venus.

Scorpio Sun / Merc / Venus / Jupiter conjunct in the 4th house.

I love just doing my own thing at home. I’ve made sure my home is a very comfortable place to be in. Taurus stellium and Libra Rising. Soft couch, nice scents and a full fridge. It’s also very easy for me to be alone. Virgo Moon. Lots of books, fully equipped home office, plenty of self care products. I can be very social but I always need time to recharge at home.
