I've seen many personal planets in particular signs, certain house placements, and interplanetary-aspects, get harshly criticized. Are there any that you think shouldn't get as much hate as it they receive? Make a case for them, rather than against them. Use personal experiences if applicable!------------------ Cancer Rising 2nd House Leo Sun 3rd House Leo Mercury 6th House Sagittarius Moon & Pluto 1st House Cancer Venus & Mars 10th House Pisces Jupiter conjunct MC. I think hard aspects gets a bad rep and they make it out to seem like people having it will only show the negative side of the planets involved. Like for example hard Neptune aspects to personal planets are supposedly not intuitive, compassionate or can’t be creative only those with the conjunction, sextile and Trine are those things those with the squares and opposition are deluded and into drugs. I also find certain houses gets a bad rep like the 12th house. IP: Logged |

Moon and Venus in Gemini. I don’t want to make a case for it, I’ve done that for years. It doesn’t matter. IP: Logged |

Gemini is definitely a vilified sign, which is too bad because they’re so incredibly charming. Unfortunately, people always try to deflect from their own mistakes by finding fault in others. Preferably something that you can’t really change, like your sexual preference, ethnic background or Sun sign. And when there is no scientific evidence, it always comes down to personal experiences as the reason for their unshakable convictions. IP: Logged |

They always blame the Gemini planets, rather than anything else, and I find it lazy, on top of anything else. I've been a member here for twenty years, and there used to be threads on either placement, with people telling others to run away from us. I always speak up, and it does no good. I think one person was sarcastic, when they said something about me being an exception, a couple of years ago. Others would say if it doesn't apply to me, then I shouldn't get upset, but they're applying their personal experiences to every single person with that placement. IP: Logged |

Moon/Pluto My siblings and I all have a "hades moon". We are not an easy family to integrate into unless you have a plutonic moon too. There's an unspoken undercurrent this aspect plugs you directly into that I think a lot of people are unaware of. Like if I walked into a room with all of my siblings I would know what they're feeling and they can do the same. We're all linked by that. We all share the same mother and this moon aspect is the only thing we all have in common in our charts. IP: Logged |

Capricorn. While I'm "meh" about this sign in general, I think much said about it is overly harsh and wrong. Some of the most generous (but NOT doormats) and honorable (but not naive) people were Capricorns, even when they still gravitated to the general description. And I've read that "Capricorn Mars" is the devil and a predatory pervert, but I offered myself to one with this placement, and he refused because he didn't want me to think that such was the only reason anyone would help me, and while he didn't restrict himself to monogamous relationships, he was very honest and giving about it (and restricted himself to a handful, and preferred women who were the same as him in that attitude), and asking who he loved best was like asking a parent which child they loved best, it wasn't one he could answer in some universal way. And one of the most haunting memories is when one of his cats died. He sounded so emotionless, almost like a Vulcan from Star Trek, wrapped his dead cat up in a towel, went down to the basement (it was night, he'd bury him the next day, and hoped to keep any fleas jumping off the body in the towel, or at least basement that he'd clean out later), and then I heard the most mournful wail when he thought we couldn't hear. It was one of utter grief and heartbreak that I don't think I've even heard to such depth by man or woman. But when he came back up he was dry-eyed and one would never know his inner-turmoil talking to him then. But just because he didn't trumpet his feelings to the world (and he'd probably be mortified to learn we had heard him) didn't mean he didn't have them. Heartless, predatory, users of people? Not in my experience (at least no more than any other sign, which can include those seen as doormats and people pleasures by many into astrology). Even when they do gravitate to the general traits, there's still more to them than that, and it can manifest in good and bad ways (like all signs and placements). And if I ever started my own charity, I'd want at least one Cappie on the board to help (though of course I'd vet beyond that, and there are other signs I'd also be interested in). That's just my one contribution. I could list more, and some differences regarding both positives and negatives of signs and placements I've noted between the new astrology and old school astrology (and why I consider old school much more accurate along with why I think the new astrology is more popular despite being less accurate). Agree! There's a lot that goes into a person. Free will, transits, progressions, etc. Like Saturn return which is made a big deal. I'm not AT ALL the same person I was 10 years ago. I've confronted my difficulties in my chart. It's opportunity for growth!
