this is something i’ve thought about for a while. it has been a great source of anxiety.

i have chiron in the capricorn 8th house and almost all interpretations for the chiron wound i read are inherently negative and connect death to it immediately. i’m only 18 and scared that this will occur.

i wasn’t sexually assaulted as the other option besides death suggests. however when i was younger, my dad had a gambling addiction and my parents fought all the time. i consoled them and was there for them at the ripe ages of 5-9 ish (maturing early, probably the capricorn, i also have saturn conjunct my ascendant). we also took out a big loan and it was always a big theme for me that most of our expenses were connected to that debt.

other than that, my other deep childhood wound is bullying. wont get into it because this isn’t about my life story, but yeah, my elementary teacher was also bullying me so i have issues with authority.

do you reckon the 8th house chiron wound could be represented in these, or does it have to be in the form of SA or death?

I highly recommend that you not read pop astrological interpretations and stick with the more basic factors in understanding your birth chart.

It is your power of intention and purpose in living that holds the power, not any factor in the birth chart. The birth chart only shows a pattern of tendencies you brought in with you.

Your birth chart placements have nothing to do with what others do or with will (or might) happen 'to' you. They have to do with a basic orientation you brought into life and will unfold as you get older, mature, and grow. Any feature of your personality and any dynamic of your life is completely in your charge. You can change anything about yourself or your life that you don't like.

Astrology doesn't work very well for anyone who forgets they are in charge. They generated the dynamic represented by the astrological birth chart. That's you. And you can change anything through growth and intention. Astrological material that promotes worry or fear is of no use to you. It is possible you will see that kind of material or interpretive angle in a different light later. It mostly rests on your sense of empowerment from within.

I was bullied throughout childhood and adolescence, and people have always remarked that I am "mature" for my age. I can see how those things might be connected to this chart dynamic, but I would not say they were "determined" by it.

Our charts are personal, so to see how another specific person might be interacting with you in astrological terms you would need to use synastry. But natal charts can point to general themes of our lives that will play out long term in a variety of ways that come down to personal choice and free will. So being bullied for example- that's not in your control necessarily, but you get to choose how to respond to it. Someone's likelihood to trigger negative reactions in other people just by existing (leading to bullying) could be seen as related to their birth chart, but it's not like a certain aspect means "You will get bullied." It's more like, "This is something unique and potentially difficult to fit into the way society works right now, so others are likely to react to it, but the way it manifests and the way you respond to others is up to you."

I also don't think that you need to be afraid of reading your chart; treating astrology as something that determines life and death is far too extreme in my opinion. Existence is much more complicated than that.

I've never struggled with gambling or death (I haven't had a ton of experience with grief, but I think I am more comfortable with death than average, due to my beliefs in reincarnation.)

That being said, I absolutely have an issue with intimacy.

I grew up feeling very alone, unseen, unwanted. I wasn't bullied so much as just completely ignored and neglected, and my family life was predominately lacking in love.

So, it is very very very hard for me to be vulnerable, to let people in, to open myself in Scorpio 8H ways.

That's my two cents.
