Just for a bit of fun. Been reading about chart patterns and quadrant / hemishphere emphasis shaping our personalities and orientation of character.Curious to know if the 4 seasons colour theory applies to those as well who have a strong concentration in a particular quadrant. I'm a 4th quadrant, with 7 planets in 10th and 11th house. I definitely am drawn to summer colours and I do believe they suit my look best. What do you peeps think? Does the colour chart correspond with your dominant quadrant (or hemisphere)? And to those lucky ones with splash charts.. bet you look good in everything! Hahaha ASC / 1st quadrant = Spring IC / 2nd quadrant = Winter DSC / 3rd quadrant = Autumn MC / 4th quadrant = Summer

Looks interesting! Let’s see if the theory works for me. I’m a (soft) summer: grey eyes/brunette/cool undertone.Q1 (spring): Pluto & Neptune Q2 (winter): no planets Q3 (autumn): Sun, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter Q4 (summer): Moon, Mars, Saturn According to the quadrants, I should be an autumn palette but I’m definitely not. I did a consult and I was a very obvious summer. I already noticed it with make up. Warm orange, red and coral tones don’t look very good on me. A more purplish red, like burgundy, looks much better. What's a quadrant? I'm a Gemini rising Aries Sun h11 Scorpio Moon h6 ruling planet Taurus Mercury h12 Venus Pisces h10 Aquarius Mars h10 Jupiter Cancer h2 Saturn Capricorn h9 Uranus Capricorn h8 Neptune Capricorn h8 Pluto Scorpio h6 NN Aquarius h9 SN Leo h3 MC Aquarius h10 IC Leo h4 I try not to limit myself w/ colors but definitely have my preferences. Some times it changes w/ what phases I'm going through in life. I've been focusing more on pinks lately because I hear it's the color of healing. And I hear magenta is the color of rapid healing. I think I almost have an aversion to the color magenta, and I'm trying to get over that. I am thinking of getting my nails painted magenta the next time I get them professionally done. Chiron in Aries has been rocking my world with all the cardinal I have in my chart. I get told I look good in pink. Especially flamingo pink! I also get told I look good in teal. That is my happy color. I was able to get a lot of things in teal when the color was trendy. I am blessed to say I get told I look good in yellow too. I don't own too much yellow. That is a good color for boundaries. And I have been working on my boundary issues. I get complimented in classic blue too. Good staple to have...but I am too wild to wear that color all the time, but can't go wrong with that color. IP: Logged |

Hi Stawr, the quadrants are your birth chart divided in 4 quarters. Q1 = H1/2/3, Q2 = H4/5/6, Q3 = H7/8/9 and Q4 = H10/11/12. https://www.astro.com/astrology/opa_article191119_e.htm IP: Logged |

I like Autumn palette. It doesn’t resonate with my chart.

Interesting idea. I'm not familiar with the 3 subcategories for each season. Is there a book or an article?I'm a winter, but a lot of my planets are in the first quadrant. IP: Logged |

Ahh so far no correlation but that's OK @Dhyana this article by Gabrielle Arruda goes in depth with hair, eyes, undertone, and the sub charts of the season. It's quite basic but still covers a bit https://gabriellearruda.com/seasonal-color-analysis-what-season-are-you/ IP: Logged |

Hey @Stawr, your placements would make you northern hemisphere, 4th quadrant dominant, with 3rd quadrant in close second.Does the autumn and summer chart stand out to you? Do you think you look good in those colours? IP: Logged |

I seem to be happiest in the spring time. I have olive skin and it is said to stay away from pastel shades. I do think they are pretty. Autumn season seems to be a hit or miss for me. I usually don't cope with Scorpio season well. I have all the fixed signs in my chart, so if the big planets are squaring or opposing something in Scorpio season...I am probably experiencing some sort of life crisis. But Libra season is my 5th house. So half the time I can have a really fun fall season. I had a pretty fun fall season this year, but the very end was awful and traumatic but necessary for me. I do get told I look better with deeper reds. Maroon has been one of my favorite colors since my late 20's. It's a mature color so it makes sense that I would like it later in life. I feel like deeper red incorporates my Aries, Scorpio, Capricorn energy well. Bright red I will do sometimes, but my sister says a brighter red makes my teeth look more yellow. Someone said on this board a long time ago bright red can be very "look at me!!" Lots of Maroon shades can go together well with out clashing. Makes getting dressed easy. I also get told that I look better in ivory than I do white. I've been enjoying this color more in my late 20's. I wont shy away from white though. But I do get kind of stressed when I wear it though, avoiding certain foods, hoping I don't spill my coffee on it. I study was done that people are most tense when wearing white probably for that reason. Black, oh of course I love black. Since I was a teen. When I was little I hated it. I was too girly princess. But started to get into it when I was a teen. Black is a huge staple in my wardrobe. A lot of my clothes are at my father in law's right now. A lot of my black clothes. And I am seriously having black withdrawals right now. But I will say I feel best in black when I have sassy black eye make up on. With out it I feel like my face is washed out. I have wimpy eyelashes. If I don't put on black eye make up on and I have all black on I feel like a sad pilgrim. I can see the fall/summer come out in my style. I really like wearing black with a pop of color. I feel like that's my personality. I've also heard that people say olive skin should avoid greens, it makes them look sick. But sister says I look good in emerald green. I've been getting more into navy blue as well. It's a mature color so it makes sense. My new winter coat is navy blue. This is another shade that makes getting dressed easy since most navy blue shades don't clash with each other. I was kind of lacking blue in my wardrobe the last few years I notice. Blue is said to be a color that shows trustworthiness. And my boss use to not trust me at all so adding more in, was like an occult practice for me. I also notice I seem to like certain shades for certain items in clothes. I own a lot of red and maroon sports bra's. And then blue. I also really like coral shade for skirts. One day I was like how do I have 3 skirts in the shade of coral? I've also been adding in more browns and dark browns, but still not a main statement. Brown is kind of a trust me and don't pay too much attention to me color. I will say for fashion fall and spring are my favorite for statements. Winter can be frustrating because it can really snow where I live so sometimes it can feel like I am just trying not to drown in snow, and not very fashionable if I need to go shopping. Summer I think it depends how confident I feel in my body. It can be exciting to dress more skimpy but towards the end, I'm so over it. Plus I have been a teacher with the summers off for over a decade. I have fun dressing less professional. All the halter tops, tube tops, crop tops, one strap clothes. I don't like my bra straps sticking out of my clothes though. I own so many strapless bra's now. I also started straight up not wearing bra's. Who cares if I'm not at work. This was a good summer fashion time for me. With my strapless bra collection, and body confidence. I been getting more comfortable and confident wearing crop tops. IP: Logged |

Thanks for the link! It seems to me that the theory does relate to the charts, but it may be in a different way? Maybe there's a connection between the 1H sign, planets in the 1H, and the ruler?

I'm probably spring or autumn, and I'm a spring baby. That's my favourite time of year, as well as early autumn, before everything dies. My planets are conjunct my ascendant, in my 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7/8th cusp, 9th, 11th or 12th, so it's pretty balanced. I wear a lot of dark colours, but white can look good against my hair. My skin might be neutral. I used to tan without burning, but I'm not someone who loves to sit out in the sun. I don't like it beating down on me, so I don't know if I just haven't pushed it enough. My eyes are a really dark brown, so that sounds like winter. IP: Logged |

I have most of my planets in the first and third quadrant, and warmer autumn and spring colors do fit me best.IP: Logged |
