If I'm interested in buying a secondhand car and want to know what it's birth chart would look like, would the build date or the first registration date be more relevant? The build date is the date that it was effectively signed off as built by the factory, the first registration date is the date that it was registered to its first owner. Sometimes there can be a few months between the date that a car rolls off the production line and the date that it's registered to its first owner due to shipping times and the time that it may sit in the showroom waiting to be bought by someone.

To me, logic suggests that the build date is more relevant as that's the time that it's actually "born", for lack of a better expression.

Any thoughts?

I think it's more an events chart for you buying the car. I would go for the moment you pay for it.

I agree. The event will tell you more about your energetic dynamic with the car.

I don't pay attention to this sort of things anymore, but if I did, I would cast the chart for when I first saw the actual car.

Thanks all, some interesting replies.

I suppose I thought it would be like meeting a person - you compare their birth chart with yours to see how you'd relate. I thought it might be similar with a car, determining how much luck (or not) you might have with it.
