what do u look at to see what kinds of books someone would be interested in and what kind of reader they are

i have mercury in 12 house and i like classics. the way i read is little by little..(i gotta take breaks often)...also i love memes ...short quotes etc....i don't like reading long winded things unless they're classics...i go through phases of reading and sometimes put a put down only to come back to it months or years later

my brother is a big reader and he like war/history books and his mercury is aries in 9th house...he gets through a book pretty fast

my sister likes to read what's trending or books that are well known or have some kind of prize etc and her mercury is sag in 3ed house...it takes her forever to finish a book....sometimes a year

what else should i look to for reading other than mercury

Look to see what houses mercury rules. For me Gemini is my 1st house, Virgo my 5th. I love learning/reading about myself, that's what drove my love for astrology. And I like to read for fun or as a hobby (5th house). I used to critique novels for a friend of mine who had her own editing business. I really enjoyed reading and then giving the author advice on plots/character development.
My Merc is in Aries 12th house and I too enjoy the classics and often reread books I've already read.

I had a thread about this.

I used to be a big reader. Now I have trouble focusing.

I am super bent to read books over the Summer. Working on reading Common Sense by Thomas Paine. I've read some of his other writings.

I sometimes pick up one of my organization books.

When I cat sat at my sisters I read Sacred Baths.

Some of my transits right now are
Sun conjunct rising
Saturn conjunct Venus
Uranus oppose Kaali

I've been trying out audio books, because of horrible insomnia, but I'm having trouble focusing on those, too.

I'm reading The Secret History, Cemetery Boys, and still going is Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow.

Where do you see that reflected in your chart?

I don't know if I can put it down to anything in my chart, since my mum taught me to read, as soon as she could. I'd prefer that my Moon/Venus in Gemini be associated with things like reading and research, though, instead of lying and cheating, as people find something to blame on their horrible exes treatment of them.

I love bookstores and libraries. I visit them to cheer up. Our local library is a really old, large house, transformed, and I love it. On my birthday, my dad took me to my closest, favourite independent bookstore. I hadn't wanted to get up, but I started to really breathe in there, even wearing a mask, on a hot afternoon, with no air-conditioning. I bought a book, but have no idea what I did with it, so I have to activate my Sherlock side, and find it soon. I think I looked at that book a year ago, when my dad drove me up on my birthday.

My Mercury is in Aries, widely trine my MC, and conjunct Ceres/Chiron/Sun in the 6th.

Moon/Venus/SN in Gemini, square Mars in Pisces, sextile Jupiter in Aries, trine Pluto . Inconjunct Uranus/ascendant. They're conjunct the cusp of the 8th. I like all sorts of books, anything from cozy mysteries to spooky books. I love Neil Gaiman's books, like The Ocean at the End of the Lane, and Good Omens, but not so much those like American Gods (but I'll give them another go).

I want to read the DiscWorld series by Terry Pratchett. Once I'm through with the above, and a few more, I want to start working through all of them.

Minor aspect to Saturn. I also have Saturn square mercury and Jupiter-Pluto opposition. Jupiter is in my fifth.

I've read a novel called The Alchemyst: The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel; was a really exciting teenage novel series lol.

I'm Aries and Pisces. So action and fantasy combined.
