The New Moon Cancerian's manner is elusive and evasive. The air about her is pensive and sad. Seemingly remote, she prefers solitude and is greatly addicted to literature and novels. She is poetic, magnetic, psychic and musical. New Moon Cancerians are greatly prone to depression and seem to lack the normal will to live. Exceedingly sensitive they shun both the Sun's rays and the active work-day world, loving the night. This can be a deeply spiritual type, lacking much of the "common-touch" and matronly qualities of the more common Full Moon Type Cancerian. Frequently, the New Moon Cancerian lives in her own mental world of romance and fantasy.

New Moon Type 2:

i would say the write up is decent. since they have demarcated two lunar types, which most people don’t realize the other. she had me at flat chested lol. i love boobs & sadly dont have enough

though, the description of lunar types having “narrow or sloping shoulders” and frail features doesn't resonate. i have broad shoulders, wide hips, and a small waist—hourglass shape.

i like to wear light, pale pinks, which i believe is associated with the moon

i’d be curious to hear from other cancer prominent folks, both types; how they relate to the description and to their body.

for instance, Princess Diana is listed as one of the “new moon lunar cancer” types; she also happens to have Ardra Sun+Mercury, a Dhanista Moon, and Jyestha Ascendent
the other person listed as this type is Mona Lisa, who also has two planets in Ardra
third person listed Franz Kafka, who has a Ardra Sun.

There’s nothing wrong with my nose, but I used to think my features were “too much” for any real makeup to be applied. Then I would see my sister’s pictures, and her eyes would show up, because she wore mascara. I didn’t, but I never really got into it last my teen years. Now I feel like I missed out a bit. A lot, when it comes to other things.

My shoulders looked wide, to me, and strong, but I’m not physically strong. I had really long legs, and was always on the skinny side. I refused to really diet. My Pisces ascendant sister was always on a diet. She’s always been physically strong.

Dark hair and eyes, I was always called sexy, and I hated it. I wanted people to stop commenting on my body. My mum and sister were both flat-chested, and Mum once pointed at me and said, “I don’t know where you got those.” My chest was a lot bigger, and I also hated that.

Hi, my husband have 12 degrees Cancer Ascendant (EMPTY 1st house though, ZERO planet in Cancer, nothing in the sign of his Asc, not even Nodes or Fortune or Vertex, NOTHING, completely Empty 1st house), but he is 12 degrees Cancer Asc.
He born on Waxing Crescent Moon, Waxing Crescent Moon phase starts AFTER New Moon.

His looks? He tall and skinny, face long like a horse, square masculine jawline, longgg but square face. He 6'2 (188cm) and he weight 160 lbs (73 kg), that is skinny for someone who 188cm tall, almost 190cm tall. Long hands, longgg fingers.

So there that, for what it worth to the Ascendant looks studies.

I think the book does state that outside of the Asc, there are other factors to consider i.e. the Moon, the planetary stellium sign, the sign ruling the Asc etc.

What I do , is look for consistencies in physical features relative to the sign. I often notice this quickly in actors or people I work with i.e. the Taurus neck/ thick lips( Asc Tau- Taylor Lautner), the Scorpio "bow legs" with coarse dark hair and overall "square" shoulders and infamous pelvis jutting forward stance (late Sun Sco -Bud Spencer). Maybe even the hooked nose of Scorpio Maria Shriver.

I look to see the Gemini long arms and sometimes "bird like" legs and small torso(in women) for Gem Asc(Michelle Pfeiffer). Or maybe the "forever high school kid" look of someone whose physique seems "stuck" in adolescence ( the late Sun in Gem -Michael J Fox), the Leo "pout" and "peacock" stance that the late Tina Turner did and Donald Trump does(Leo Asc) a lot, the ready "full teeth showing" smile & oblong face of Sag Asc Sir Ian Mckellan & Nelson Mandela. I include myself here too. I have looked at pictures of me smiling. They are embarrassingly "teethy"( Stellium in Sag).

Sometimes its noticing the deep , beautiful Soulful eyes of Asc Pisces(Ellen Degeneres) and Sun Pisces Rob Lowe . And then seeing that being heavily contradicted by the stark difference in the almost electric, impersonal "alarming" eyes of Aqua Asc Jeff Fahey(look at his young pictures) &Ian Somerhalder(Vampire Diaries).

Cap/Sat will have a bony face or little fat there. Think Lib Asc,Saturn 1st house Christopher Lee. They often appear stern -like the first word out of their mouth will be "No".

I would put "ice queen" Asc in Cap Monica Bellucci, Sophie Marceau(Moon in Cap) and Bollywood powerhouse Aishwarya Rai(Cap Moon).These Cap Moon ladies often give off the vibe of someone "hard to get".

Similar to them(but less icy) is the intelligent and minimalistically inclined Virgo.Notice the "forever concerned" or "forever analyzing" look of Virgo Asc Dan Levy(Schitt's Creek),Woody Allen & John Malkovich. Woody and Dan even chose similar eyewear. Coincidence?🤷🏿‍♂️

Or the similar high forehead of Antony Sabato Jr, Paul Wesley (Vampire Diaries) and Willem Dafoe (who all have Moon in Virgo).

Most may slightly resemble someone you know or look similar. Thats because you are picking up similar vibes or looks in both.

Moon/Cancer pertains to the breast /stomach. So there may be something pronounced about that(genetical influence aside). The person may walk (unconsciously) "stomach first" or have a well formed chest area(with minimal workouts)/breasts( sometimes small)

There is a Turkish actor called Onur Tuna (born 2 July 1985) who is 1.94m tall. Yes, Cancers can be very tall.(David Hasselhoff is another very tall Cancer).

Onur has Sun/Mars in Cancer. But what struck me about him(besides his super good looks)was his walk. He walks "stomach 1st". And his eyes are THE most emotive part of body. They give a lot of how he feels in a scene away.

He has Moon in Cap(which typically doesn't give away much emotionally). But his Moon in Cap conj his Neptune in Cap. So there is a deep, dreamy "pool" like nature about his eyes.

My Dad is just as tall, same Sun/Moon placement(July 18 born).But has no such contacts with Neptune. So he doesn't
appear dreamy-eyed at all. Instead, his Mars/Plu/Ura/Merc in Leo , make him look very fierce.

There are two types that I have noticed.
One type can be lean. And tends towards being "cute", pretty or handsome.The other will have a body that tends towards "roundness" or be less angular. But not necessarily "fat". The latter is the classic "Cancer".

In both however,Cancer energy is disarming.The moon's light is naturally unobtrusive. There is water retention in the body. The stomach may protrude slightly more and the eyes are watery and soulful- like the individual is about to burst into tears.

From what you described, your hubby may have Saturn/Mercury strong. This especially when you mentioned long hands/fingers. Gem/Merc tends to emphasize elongated hands/fingers and legs(Mercury rules hands after all).

Watch for mannerisms. Does he try to squeeze through small space or display the agility to do that. I have a friend who likes to squeeze in with strangers in rotating doors.

I wonder if we need to involve declinations too. With it, Venus is my strongest planet and I display many of the things the book described => like how I carry myself to how I put my clothes together. but my movement is mix with Gemini.
