I'm trying to find articles about the differences between Pluto transiting natal Venus and Pluto transiting natal 7th house, but not having much luck. Both seems to be bringing intense changes in relationships, deep love and connexion, power struggles, it seems to be exactly the same descriptions for both transits... Does anyone have more insight? Have experienced either, or both?Pluto is currently transiting my 7th house and transiting a love interest's Venus so I'm curious to see the differences in impact. I also went through pluto transiting my natal venus in my teenage/young adult years and NOT looking forward to going through that again! IP: Logged |

For starters, the transit to natal Venus will only last about 5 years on average. The average trip by Pluto through the 7th house of someone's birth chart will last 14-20 years. So it is first a difference of duration.Pluto transiting your natal Venus is more specific in its transformation process of your total default Venus tendencies. Through the 7th house it is more general and gradual, thus less 'intense.' You will not have the same experience you had when Pluto transited your natal Venus as a teen/young adult. It's not the same transit and you have grown since then. An important keyword with Pluto, especially with its more major transits is deepening. This is not just descriptive, but can be used in an affirmative way. If you are allowing your appreciation of others as they are to deepen, then acceptance of others gets easier. If you are allowing your understanding of relational processes and growth to deepen, then you are inviting yourself to learn more. Yes, it is a process of transformation, but towards deeper understanding, deeper relating, deeper love. If you go in with apprehension about what Pluto may destroy, then you're back on your heels in a defensive position rather than proactively co-creating a positive outcome. I love your explanation of the difference between the transit to the 7th house and natal Venus. Especially your perspective on how to navigate each. I'm completing a square to Venus only to head into a square to my 7th house. I'm going to try to see this as the universes way to work with me not a death sentence to misery. Thank you. IP: Logged |

Taking on very differing perspectives. But being comfortable with the paradoxes as well. Less judgemental of self for being so "contrary" IP: Logged |

It’s definitely deepening. But appreciation of the others, it’s more like acceptance the hurt, pain and some abuse here. First, I was sure only the others were not accepting me. Now I see how I wasn’t accepting them also. But still more like the lose-lose situation. You win, but you are losing. But if you let somebody else to win, you might win more or lose more. Cut the losses. IP: Logged |

It doesn't have to be that way. Accepting others as they are does not necessarily mean being intimately involved with them nor does it mean allowing anyone to abuse you. We can accept many people at arm's length. But Pluto is truly a devil to those desperate for outside affirmation. By deepening and acceptance, I am not implying just falling into a more blind embrace in emotional/sexual intimacy. A person with Pluto transiting their 7th house may find a mentor comes into their lives who has a strong and lasting influence on them that deepens their life perspective and helps them towards greater empowerment. If you have a healthy sense of boundaries that can happen. Pluto's trek through the 7th may just be testing whether you do have healthy boundaries. As Pluto transits from the 6th above the horizon, we have a chance to test out what we've learned while Pluto was below the horizon in our charts, since that would have been its natal place allowing the transit into the 7th. While Pluto was in the sixth what did you learn about empowerment in the vocational environment or your wellness practices that are now applied in personal relationships? Given that Pluto's trek through the 7th house is long, a person has plenty of time to notice any pattern of unhealthy one-upmanship, manipulation, or dominance and put a stop to it so those things don't write the entire story of the transit.
