has anyone read this book

does anyone think Lord Henry is the archtype of a gemini

He always has a theory or opinion on everything
and his short sound bite advice are def gemini
and how detached he is from actual life but is somehow a self proclaimed expert at it

def gemini

Also Dorian gray could be the perfect saggitarius as he tries to take all of Harry's sound bites and turn them into a single philosby which to live by... he even tries to create a philosophy never heard of

I think Capricorn is more of a self-proclaimed expert, and people say that they look younger (or remain young-looking) as they age.

I’ve never read the book, I just know the basics.

If I remember correctly the point was that he could do a lot of ****** things, but only his picture got affected by it and got uglier when he stayed beautiful.
I think more about Venus, or Neptune, or Jupiter in visible positions or having nicely aspected AC/ 1st house what give you likable vibes and let get away with the crappy things you’re doing.

the thing is he never cared about looks or vibes or any of that stuff until he met lord henry who told him having beauty is everything.

I guess I don’t remember Henry.
Than Henry is Pluto and Dorian is Neptune.

I once saw the classic film years ago. I'd guess Sagittarius, as they are like the chameleon (salamander as well) in a metaphysical way. They often are changing via image of their outer look and the gc or great attractor could be a reason. For the character in that novel, maybe a 10/11th house Sagittarius. As Saturn is "time" as well a retrograde of the natal Saturn could be further enhance this.

I have some this plus Saturn has me youthful where it is. I'm often mistaken for as much as 20+ years younger. If you look into actors/actresses who are Sagittarius based and change a lot, that may help. I think because the shadow of Sage is Gemini, you could be right too! Jupiter might benefit someone in the rolling back of time if it were Capricorn, ruled. "Lucky with time", just a thought. Even more if in 5th house.

Scarlett Johansson I believe is Sagittarius, however if you look at Johnny depps chart, that man could be maybe something like Dorian.

-the reason i said hnery as gemini is he has so many philosophies and is attached to none. they just come out his mouth and sometimes it feel he isn't even aware of what he is saying or cares about what he is saying...as long as it's witty and stirs the other persons emotions and makes them deffensive

- where as DG is mezmorized by the theories and tries to live them..he struggles because there are so many theories
- further on when him and henry seperate a little DG tries to come up with his own theory that will define the current age ...he tries it through music, cyrstals, art, etc, etc and even tho he fails he is looking for *ONE* thing by which to live by a philosophy that can replace god (he even says hte portrait is like god to him)
- also when he says henry is never wrong and does what ever he says further shows that he is looking for an ideal in which to put all his eggs ..and this is kinda what i imagine sagg to be like

- im not really looking at the age or beauty thing i didn't see him that vain, i think he wanted more than beauty....i mean sure he took it and made advantage of his situation but he longed for something better
- near the end he even shows regret and says he wishes he could have bourne his sins naturally and that his beauty made him a monster
- i think DG's real wish would have been to be as smart as lord henry

Oscar Wild was a Libra, so Dorian looks and acts a lot like a Libra too - charming, obsessed with beauty and youth, and airy.

I was thinking not so much as beauty, moreso "timeless " but you might see this character as the flipsides of gemini/Sagittarius. Like a coin, heads/tails - philosophy and the the other traits you listed but Gemini does seem plausible to some degree.

Gemini twin makes sense. 2 faces... One visible, one hidden.
